Chapter 10

           

~PRESENT TIME~

[The cabin is seen and then Lexa is standing in front of Lanys and they both look at Peter]

Lexa: What are we going to do? That thing is going to come back in an hour.

Lanys: We are going to stand our ground and protect..

Lexa: (furious) don't you say protect Mister, because he hasn't protected us since that thing...

Lanys: (interrupts) Lexa don't lose faith, he never lost it for you.

Lexa: You always say the same thing, but we have a way out of this predicament.

Lanys: Don't even say it, don't even think it. I will not give in to the Darkness and give our only hope away.

[Lexa looks sadly at her sister]

Lexa: What are we to do then? Because time is ticking and we have no resolution, only problems.

[Lanys looks at Peter and she notices something]

Lanys: Huh?

[Lanys kneels down next to Peter and she takes out a paper from Peter's front pocket]

Lexa: What is that?

[Lexa takes the paper from Lanys]

Lexa: Hmmm....it's in Mister's handwriting...and as always I don't understand it. Here, you always understood whatever he wrote.

[Lexa gives Lanys back the paper]

Lanys: (reading the paper) Hmm..it says "Who ever found me, thank you for finding me. I only ask you not to wake me up, because I am looking for the answers and this is the only way to find them. Please protect me from the Darkness and I'll wake up soon...I promise. Mr. S"

Lexa: So, how is he finding the answers in his sleep?

Lanys: I have no idea, but we need to protect him, if he's looking for the answers.

[Lexa stays quiet and looks at the door]

Lexa: I just hope we are doing the right thing.

Lanys: We are, sis. We are.

[Lanys holds Lexa's hand and you can hear a soft whisper coming from Peter's lips]

Peter: (whispering) ...awesome...

[Lanys and Lexa hear the whisper and they both gently smile at each other]
