The Man In Black

F/n's POV

After Fragrada and Raven healed me, the other titan's and I looked the city up and down with no luck as to were are chain wielder had gone.

Afterword, Raven and I went to Grahja and Tavari's home. 

Tavari was happy to see Raven was okay and laughed when I tould him how I got beat up, leaving out the part of who I thought it was. Raven eventually took him into another room to play for a while, leaving his mother and me alone. Grahja was a good looking woman, she must have been 19 when she was forced to birth Tavari. She had dark marron skin, and her hair was short and white, eyes black. 

"So... Tavari's father, what was he like?" She looked downcast at the mention of the man, but a grin managed to touch her face.

"Tavari's father... he... well I did like him when I first met him. He was like you, more civil than others... but... one day after he offered to walk me home after we went out for a drink, I woke up in my bed. I wasn't entirely sure what happened at the time, whether it was a dream or something else. As it happened to be, it was real, he roofied my drink that night and I never saw him again... and a few weeks later I discovered I was pregnant."

"What did he look like?"

"W-Well... his skin was pure black like Tavari, and his eyes, I didn't know if they were beautiful or if they were terrifying, yellow... and his hair was a crimson red, long and in a ponytail."

"Red?!" I nearly screamed it. She looked at me a bit surprised.

"F/n, what is this about?"

"... The man that kidnapped Raven... and used chains... I thought he was Tavari's father. He looked just like him... he could have had his hair whitened somehow... but otherwise I'm lost. Tell me, how old was-"

I was cut off as my phone started to ring, checking it, Robin was calling, "Excuse me."

I answered, "What is-"

"T tower, now. I got something on our assailant."

I walked back and told Raven that Robin had found something, she was currently spinning Tavari around in the air with magic, making him fly around like superman till she abruptly dropped him and he fell onto his bed.

The little demon pushed himself up, "Robin? Can he also use magic?"

Despite the seriousness of me coming in it was all forgotten at the idea of boy wonder with powers, "No, Robin's a human I work for."

"But... if Raven can use magic, why can't the other bird?"

I facepalmed and groaned a sound of pure mental pain.

"I... he's not... alright, see you later Tavari." I grabbed Raven's hand and we made our way to the tower.

As we walked Raven stayed silent. And after a few minutes of walking the memory of what was happening before the man in black appeared struck me in the head. We cut into a back all were we could be alone and I stopped.

"Raven... are you ok- no, that's a dumb question, how about this, how are you feeling?" She looked up at me and then back at the ground, she was in a pair of black jean short shorts with purple leggings, a dark purple tank top, and her apparently new favorite black leather jacket.

"I... I froze... I... I was so scared I forgot about the pill you gave me... I still can't get the images of what would have happened... I've never been so scared... I..." at this point she had tears in her eyes, "I'm defenseless without my magic... all I could do was wait... what am I supposed to do? can... can I even do anything about it!" I hugged her and she cried into my chest, my back sliding down the wall behind me as we sat on the ground together.

"Raven... all those guys are dead, the man in black confirmed that. Fragrada and the girls can take care of themselves the next few days... come back Raven, stay with me in the tower... I can teach you some self-defense... your strong, you don't need your magic... just a little faith. I've been planning it for a while and I think its time I finally got it to happen... I want the under over world under the protection of the Titan's same as jump city."

She nodded her head and hugged me tighter, "Not to mention..."

She raised her head to look at me here I had a side note, "I'd never let anything like that happen... and that goes for all the girls, for you? I might kill a guy just checking you out."

She couldn't help but chuckle and the two of us stood, wiping away her tears, and walking to the tower.

At the tower, we found Robin's research room, were he smiled as he saw us.

"What did you find for me Robin?"

"I, found everything." He then held up a vial of black achor, "After Raven laid the smackdown on him, he spilled a little bit of this, I got a blood sample."

I was ecstatic, "Have you ran a search?"

"It appears this hasn't been recorded, I mean, it is demon blood, I doubt blood samples is something demons do... I can't find anything out scientifically, find him with magic, you can do that with this right?" He said tossing the vile vial to Raven, who nodded sternly in response.

"Well, before we throw it away... I need to confirm something, I think it's the father of a boy... can you find a similarity if there is one?"

"Easily, just get me some blood."

"Thank you, Robin. Raven, can you give that stuff to Fragrada and see what she can do."

"Sure thing, the two of us together have to be able to find him with this."

I lashed my bandages out and they moved around me fastly more and more until I found a particular black spot in the mass of wrappings.

"I used it to bandage Tavari's leg once," I got a glass of water and poured a bit onto the spot, the wrappings turned and twisted till the now wet again blood oozed out into a vial, "I hope its enough."

Robin took it and nodded.

"This will do just fine, give me an hour or two."

I left with Raven, and before we could make it out of the tower we were stopped by a streak of pink.

"Raven friend!" Star-fire took Raven's hands and smiled, "It's been a long time! Maybe we can take our friendship one step further and 'hang' 'out'?" She air quoted.

"Uh... sure thing Star."

"GREAT!" said the alien in excitement as she started dragging Raven away, talking about all the things they could do like make-up, watching movies, playing eye laser beam tag, all that fun stuff.

Raven tossed me the black blood and I just kept walking, shaking my head with a smile on my face as I walked to Fragrada's.

She dropped what she was doing almost immediately and went to work, doing multiple incantations and makings magic circle upon circle. I watched in silence, not really understanding magic.

Eventually, a smile spread across her face, and then a frown, "This... is very strange. I picked up the man in blacks location."

"You did!?"

"Yes, but... there are two locations... like he is in two places at once."

I went to say something else but before I could I got a text. Opening my phone, it was Robin, and the text read:

"F/n... its a 100% match, Tavari and the man in black are the same person."
