A Dying Planet

This was never supposed to happen. But everything dies eventually so why not the planet. Yes the planet is dying; she can't provide anymore life now. The muggles have killed it all.

Pollution and overcrowding will eventually do that to a planet, so I've heard. It's one of the main reasons humans have gone looking through outer space to find another once beautiful planet to destroy. The newest one seems to be Pandora, an Earth-like habitable moon from the Alpha Centauri System, the closest star system to humanity's own Solar System.

Oh wait introductions - My name is Harry Potter; Master of Death. Not long after I killed Voldermort the muggles found out about us and wiped us out. They killed thousands of Men, Women and Children; it didn't matter, we were all dangerous. I'm the only one left; not that they know I'm still alive. The muggles thought they killed the last magical person well over a year ago.

'Now Child it's not good to think so hard about all the sad thoughts.' A sickly voice rasped inside Harry's head.

'I know Ida. But sometimes it's just something to think about.' I replied sorrowfully.

Ida is the Earth. Or what's left of her. Ida is more like a dying grandmother though if you think of it. Old and sick but still ready to tell you a story about the past whenever you ask for one.

'Now Harry you know as well as I do that I'm much older than that.' The raspy voice chuckled, turning into a hacking cough.

'True but it's still fitting.' I chuckle wetly, feeling the tears clinging to my lashes.

Ida has been trying to get me off the planet ever since she heard of the 'AVATAR program'. Pandora sounds like an amazing place but I had never wanted to leave Ida.

'Oh Harry you have to go please just do this for me! That's my last wish to Eywa, you'll tell her, won't you? Have her look through your memories and she will bless you. I'm sure of it. That's all I ask of you Harry. Go and continue your life somewhere happier. Always choose happiness and hope for yourself, Harry. That is one thing I want you to remember out of everything I have taught you.'

That was a year ago. Now I'm boarding the ISV Venture Star with several scientists who have helped me become a part of the AVATAR program. It will take five years at least to get there but I can't wait. I've learned all I can. I can speak Na'vi perfectly and I have read Dr. Grace Augustine's book on Pandora Biology front to back. I truly hope that Eywa will be happy to have me just as Ida said before she was unable to continue talking to me. And after the stories I've heard about these two sisters I hope she will like me as well.

And if not that's fine too. Because this is sure to be the last life I have to live. I hope I'll see my family again soon.
