"Grace! You're back! I'd like you to meet Hadrien Potter." Max introduced Harry to a tall auburn haired woman in a lab coat; whom he recognized as Dr. Grace Augustine, the one and only writer of Pandoran Botany, and head of the entire AVATAR program. For being almost forty-six Grace looked pretty good even Harry knew that. She had arrived twenty-five years before Harry under the previous Head of the AVATAR department, the name of which Harry never remembered for the life of him. And Had a respectful relationship with the Omatikaya clan and even had a school that ran during the day for some of the Na'vi children to learn english and other things.
"Ah yes, the boy who has only been training for two years was better than any of the others. I've heard many things about you." She started sarcastically, blowing a ring of sweet smelling cigarette smoke in the air above their heads.
"All good things I hope Dr. Augustine. I would hate to be on your bad side the first day here you know." Grace seemed to be trying to read Harry's mind before she nodded, brown eyes showing how pleased she was compared to just a second ago, putting out the cigarette in a nearby ashtray, which was already full of cigarette buds.
"Cheeky but agenced my better judgment. I like your spirit. Hmph, from what I heard your Na'vi was also almost like your first language." She complimented, speaking the Na'vi language as she stuck out her left fore-arm which Harry grabbed.
"Yes that's correct it would seem. Also it is nice to meet the famous Dr. Grace Augustine in person if I may say so." Harry spoke in a polite tone but with no formalities, because he was sure Grace wouldn't want people to be formal with her. Unless they were the dicks upstairs looking to mine all the ore they could get out of the planet.
"Splendid Hadrien I'm sure you are going to love it here on Pandora. And none of that Dr. shit, call me Grace." Grace said happily before pointing to one of the link machines. The link machines look similar to large metal coffins; with florescent lights lining the interior. At the bottom of the link was a gel-like lining with a body shaped to keep the rider's body from sliding around.
"Harry is fine then Grace."
Grace smirked than helped Harry into the gel lining of the link machine while Dr. Max started up the system. Once I was settled into the gel, Dr. Grace lowered the protective exoskeleton. Before closing the lid of the link completely Grace said, "I'll see you on the other side Kid."
Harry relaxed letting the machine do its job, feeling a little light headed Harry felt himself succumb to the machine. Closing his eyes Harry not only saw but felt himself going towards a bright swirling light. The lights shifted colors rapidly as he continued to travel down the bright swirling tunnel of light and seemed to crash into the sun. His eyes clenched shut.

And then opened them almost instantly after.
It was strange opening his eyes for the first time in the AVATAR body. Harry could feel Eywa in the back of his mind not saying anything, just watching over him like a worrying mother watching their baby take their first steps, which he guessed was technically true.
Harry focused back on the world around him as two blurry scientists stood above his body. "Welcome to your new body, Harry." One said and Harry's ear flicked in their direction, when he recognised the voice as Max's.
"Motor Controls looking good. Can you sit up for us, Hadrien?" Another scientist asked. Harry nodded and sat up turning his legs over the side of the large bed. "Okay wiggle your toes and fingers for me please?"
"Sure." Harry wiggled his toes a bit, raising his legs a bit also so he didn't have to lean over the bed to see. "My legs and arms are so long, goodness." He said almost twitching in excitement. His tail flickering from side to side, almost hitting Max multiple times. "Oops sorry I'm just so excited now that I'm finally in my AVATAR."
"Okay all the small checks are done, could you slowly stand up but, please, try not to hyperextend yourself alright?" Max asked, exasperated with Harry's excited twitching, but Harry could see the smile he was trying so hard to hide..
"Of course!" Harry stood up slowly with Max and the other doctor making sure he didn't fall over. They both were incredibly short now thanks to the height of Harry's new body. "Wow, I've never been so tall in my entire life, this is amazing!"
Another Doctor came in with some clothes for him consisting of a tank top, cargo shorts and a pair of combat boots, and a thin neck strap used for communication. "Thank you! Can I go outside after this?" Harry asked Max, ready to see what the outside world of Pandora really looked like.
"Sure if you're up for it. In fact Dr. Augustine is waiting outside to take you to the loft where all the AVATAR are kept." The doctor who brought my clothes said before going over to a large door and opening it, "Right this way, she was watching some other drivers play basketball over there." Then he closed the door again, leaving him outside.
Pandora seemed even more colorful than Harry remembered from the first day. Looking at the sky seeing many colors that almost never appeared on earth anymore. Reds and Purples filled the sky and the sun seemed to set three moons slowly becoming visible in the sky.
'Probably thanks to the AVATAR body I've been graced with.' Harry thought sarcastically to himself.
Harry continued to look around, the whole field looked almost like an obstacle course, complete with a track basketball court and even a climbing wall. But there was also a garden at the far side of the field with multiple cabin lookalikes just past that.
Harry walked over to Grace who indeed was watching two drivers playing basketball with a fond smile on her face. "Grace, you wanted to show me the loft. Who are they?" Harry asked, pointing to the two drivers she was watching fondly not even a moment ago.
"Ah, Jack and Jill Huffle. They've been in the AVATAR program for a little under two years now. And if I remember correctly, they came on the same shuttle Dr. Patel did." She hummed as she turned and walked away passing the obstacle part of the field and entering the garden, "Come on lets get your AVATAR some food then you can lay in the loft. Hope to get some sleep tonight; you're coming with me on an expedition with two other trainees. It would be a shame for you to die so quickly." She grabbed a fruit from a nearby short tree or a tall bush - which would be tall for a human but only two feet or so taller than her own height as a driver - and tossed it to him.
"That's reassuring Grace." Harry laughed, taking a generous helping of the strange purple fruit as they continued walking to the loft. Which tasted so similar to both an orange and a watermelon it was unreal. What a strange ass fruit...
She laughed, "Oh Please. As long as you stay close, and keep your wits about you, you'll be fine. I'm sure you have heard of the school as well. We will be going to see it during the research mission to pick a few things up. Don't offend anyone!" Finally they reached a large cabin-like building you see on camp grounds, the same ones Harry had seen from the other side of the field, or so Harry had seen in movies.
"Of course Grace, how silly of me. And don't worry! I'm sure tomorrow is going to be just fine" Harry chuckled, speeding up to keep up with her longer strides. Famous last words...
