The Game

School

        Grace sat down in homeroom, carefully avoiding the ever-watchful gaze of her crush Dylan. She blushed and pulled out her notebook planning to doodle, when the loudspeaker crackled on. "I need the students: Grace Pearson, Ally Caswally, Dylan Seller, Sadie Locke, Austin Crane, Jaden Arnolds, Adam Krussey, Whitney Michaels, Drew Faarn, Ben Kiley, Lexi Hart, and Kennady Andrews to report to the office please. Do not bring anything but what you are currently wearing with you."

        This must be the special thing, Grace thought. What are we going to do? Have I done anything to get me in trouble? her thoughts came to an abrupt stop when she heard Kennady saying loudly to Sadie, "Oh my gosh. Why are so many losers coming with us to the office? Why are we going to the office? You haven't done anything have you? I'm so nervous!"

        Finally they all arrived at the office, but instead of the principal, they say three tall men in black suits standing looking mean. "Hello children," the tallest of the men said, "you are to come with us. You will be staying with us for varying amounts of time. Don't worry your parents have signed this waiver saying you can come. See?" He held up an official looking paper and Grace say her mom's looping signature at the bottom along with eleven other signatures.

        Everything seemed to be in order so Grace along with Ally, Dylan, Sadie, Austin, Jaden, Adam, Whitney, Drew, Ben, Lexi, and Kennady followed the three me to their cars. The men each drove a car and they split up the kids into the three cars. Of course, Grace was smushed between Dylan and Jaden - her two crushes. Sadie was also in the car, which made for a long and boring ride. They drove on and on, out of Michigan, her homestate, and finally into a deserted area that Grace guessed was in Ohio somewhere.
