Connor's P.O.V.

"Really?" I asked. 'Get your head out of clouds! you just met her' I thought to myself.

"Really." she replied leaning a little closer to me. I leaned in again, getting closer and closer to her until our lips touched ever so slightly. The perfect first kiss. I slowly pulled away. I saw her cheeks turn a light shade of pink. She smiled.

"You're beautiful." I whispered in her ear. I grabbed her hand and held it for a bit. After I paid we went outside. "Why don't I walk you home?"

"Okay." After a bit she said: "That's it. The white house."

"No way. The grey one across the street is mine."

"Wow." she said as she stood at her door. "I'll see you around, I guess." She said as she grabbed the doorknob. "Oh, and I'm sorry about earlier. Can we pretend it never happened?"

"What?"

"The kiss."

"Oh. Yeah." She went into her house. I walked back to my place. I went upstairs to my room. 'That's it? She wants to act like nothing happened?' I thought as I laid down on my bed. 'Act like it never happened. It did happen. I can't just pretend that I didn't meet the most amazing girl, and that I didn't take her to a candy shoppe café, and that I didn't kiss her.'

"Connor! Get dressed in a nice outfit! we're having the Brights' over! They're the family across the street!"

"Okay!" I yelled down the stairs. 'Great. Just great. I meet Summer, kiss her, have her decline me, and now I have to see her for dinner.' I got off my bed and opened my closet. I grabbed a blue plaid button up shirt and a pair of nice jeans. I stared in the mirror as I buttoned up my shirt.
