“Ok well we need to come up with a plan,” I muttered as we walked down the hallway. I could feel the eyes of the cops following me as I made my way towards math. Two days ago they assigned three cops to me and one to Liam. I could tell that it was irritating Liam mainly but my mother felt a little more protected and I was not about to let her worry anymore than needed.
“I can’t handle this, they are putting my wolf on edge…” he narrowed his eyes as his guard walked by. “I get this feeling whenever he gets near me, like my wolf is pushing to get out and tear his head off.” He clenched his jaw has his eyes flickered black for a moment before returning to their normal color.
“Do you think it is just because you are worried they will find out about you?” I asked as I tried to ignore the stares that I have been getting since the first day of school. We have been the talk of the school since day one, apparently I was the most interesting thing that has happened to this school in a long time.
“This isn’t a feeling that I would get when I am worried Alana,” he grumbled. “This is a feeling I get whenever you are about to get attacked or when Nathaniel pops up and makes my wolf go insane. I have never seen these cops before in this town and they don’t look friendly.”
“They were brought in by the state?”
“That is the thing,” he exclaimed. “Our cops are good enough to guard us, all of them are from the military and had special training. Why would they need to send in cops from the state when there are plenty down here.”
I felt my stomach clench, I looked over my shoulder at the guards now standing at the door. Both of them blocking the exit which was causing some of the kids to complain. The two men did nothing though as they kept their eyes on me, the coldness now clear. “I think I know how you feel now…”
He looked back with me and cursed. He latched onto my hand and turned down a random hallway, slowly creeping up on a corner as though we were robbers in a bank or something. He looked around the corner and then turned back to me with a grim face, “They are standing guard at that door too…”
“Ok so we know that they are surrounding the building now, can you get a scent?” I asked as I watched the other direction, making sure none of them were coming this way. “I mean can’t werewolves tell when other werewolves are around?”
“We can but there is a nearby pack and most of them have joined our school, there is werewolf scents everywhere.” He lifted his nose and shook his head, his eyes blackening as he took another whiff. “There is a strong scent trail right in front of us and from what I am guessing… I think it is coming from them.”
“So if they are planning on keeping us captive in this school then what about all the humans? They could get hurt and see some things that doesn’t make sense to them, what exactly are we going to do?” I saw Priscilla passing our hallway, her head thrown backwards as she laughed something, a habit I noticed she had.
“I know that if we don’t get out of here then we are definitely going to have some serious injuries…” He squeezed my hand tighter in his and looked around. “You still have the knife?”
