We sat at the table, each of us with our own snack as we waiting on nothing in particular. We decided that it was best to just go home after the attack at the school because there was a good chance that Nathaniel would show up and we were not going to be there.
“How long have you guys been fighting Nathaniel?” Priscilla asked suddenly.
I took a sip of my water before turning my attention fully to her. “Well I started fighting with Liam about a week after a first started going here… lets just say it wasn’t the best way to start at my new school.”
Liam let out a snort, “yeah you wouldn’t leave me alone. I mean I made it pretty clear that I didn’t need a friend.”
I narrowed my eyes at him and threw a gummy that was in front of me at his face. He seriously was still on this stupid conversation, I had thought we agreed to move on considering we had this talk ten times before.
“I have moved on though,” he quickly added in once he noticed my expression.
“Doesn’t seem like it,” I muttered.
Priscilla let a smile creep onto her face as she looked between us. There was a mysterious glint in her eye as she thought about who knows what. “You two are so perfect for each other.”
I felt my face heat up as I choked on my food. “What?” I coughed out, patting my chest in the process.
Liam was patting me on the back during this and the slightest hint of concern crossed his face. “Yeah what are you talking about Priscilla, we are just friends.” He glared at her and got up from the table to take his trash to the can.
The house was still ruined completely, everything had bullet holes in it. The only things that weren’t messed up doing the shooting was the dishes in the cabinets and the food in the fridge surprisingly. All the fruits and stuff we had sitting out on the counter had the biggest amount of damage along with the poor trashcan.
“You guys are so slow is what I mean,” she sang. She threw me a toothy grin before wiggling her eyebrows at Liam’s back- she was practically screaming get him girl.
I let out a laugh and shook my head as I covered up my cheeks. She was playing with me and I knew I was going to lose because I didn’t know how I felt about Liam. I had to admit that there were some strange feelings deep down inside of me but nothing that I could say made me want to scream out that I loved him. Liam was also just getting use to us being friends and I had to admit just being his friend was good enough for me.
“Priscilla you need to stop going so deep into things,” Liam grumbled as he washed out his cup before placing it back in the cabinet.
“I am just stating the facts.”
