I was the 4th one to wake up I know because the tent was empty except for noctis who slept in the corner "he's cute when he sleeps" I thought to myself but needed to get up so I left the tent to see gladio,ignis, and prompto already awake "morning" I said "back at ya" "hey" morning!" Ignis seemed cheery today "why so excited ignis?" I asked and he smiled "noct overslept again which means I get to feed him his vegatables for breakfast!" I shook my head "I like veggies but breakfast isn't a good time to have them" ignis nodded "thats why i love when noct oversleeps!" I smiled and shook my head again "so whats the plan then?" Prompto asked "well you boys could just drop my off at hammerhead and I'll get a ride to lestallum from there" I said and ignis waved his hand "we could just take you there ourselves no need for car jumping" I nodded "if you want" he smiled "splended" gladio walked over and pat my shoulder "so how do you wanna train?" I looked at him "I was think hand to hand my mom was a martial artist and she could throw a punch that could knock a red giant on its ass" I chuckled "perfect" gladio said "Iggy we are gonna go train be back before noon" ignis nodded "I'll have lunch ready for your return" gladio took me for a walk in the desert sands of lucis not to far from the haven but far enough to encounter animals "now we can't have you fighting daemons first thing so I was gonna lure a few saber tusks here and have you fight em" I nodded "ok" he smiled "alright but first I'm gonna need to see your stance" I nodded and put my fist up and put some space in my legs being in a decent melee stance "not bad not bad at all" he said buy lets see how well you can hit" he pulled out a beast whistle and blew it and shortly a group of saber tusks came rushing towards us "alright let them have it I'll be here if you ned me" gladio stepped back as the sabertuskes rushed me but I drew my fist back and swung right as a saber tusk chatged me and to my surprise it fell back with a large yelp of pain before rolling back iver then th 2nd one attacked and I did a roandhouse kick sending it away with a broken neck "thats one" I said to myself then the 1st ine attacked again along with the 3rd I did a back cartwheel and kicked the 1st one killing it and then I stood up just as the 3rd one tackled me and started clawing "AHHH!" I yelled due to the pain then it was knicked off me and lay dead i looked up to see gladio with his sword "not bad at all sweetheart" I nodded "thanks" I took a few deep breaths "I'll be honest with you, your pretty good for a rookie" I shook my head "I used to fight sometimes I would go on small hunts with my mom after my sister died to get better
Then you know, she died" he loomed down at me with a nod "I understand your want for vengenc" he said "no its not vengence I just wanna keep that from happening again" he nodded again "well whatever the reason we are here to help ya" i smiled "thanks gladio" "just call me gladdy daddy" he said with a smile "um...no" I said as we chuckled "right lets get you off the ground weve got training to do" he grabbed my hand and helped me up "lets do this" I said
Sl after an hour of fighting off wild beasts me and gladio sat down against a fes rocks and took a break "damn its hot" I said "then lose the jacmet" gladio commented "fair enough" I took of my jacket and was left in my shirt "so gladio, why did your family become guards?" He looked at me then up at the sky "well as you know we amicitia have always been the kings royal bodyguards but the reason behind that is because the first king of lucis and my ancestor the first amicitia they grew up as best friends they were the 'ladies men' as they called themselves" he said with a chuckle "and shortly after the first lucis caelem got married he did a brave act of heroicness, he had saved the kingdoms governor from death and soon after the governor named him the first king of lucis and because the first amicitia was his best friend the king named him his top bodyguard and ever since then the kings have always placed us amicitia as royal guards" I looked at him with eyes of surlrise "so in a way...your royalty?" He nodded "I guess you could say that" he looked at me "plus somebody bas to watch his majesty's back since he can't do it himself" I chuckled "what time is it?" He pulled out his phone "almost 11:30 we should get back" I nodded "yep" we stood up and started walking back to camp
"Ah welcome back" ignis said as he set down some plates "just in time for lunch" he said "where have you two been?" Noctis asked who seemed to be lounging in a chair "oh me and (y/n) went out to train for a bit" gladio said and noctis looked offended "and you didn't invite me?" Prompto laughed from his spot by ignis "whats this? The great noctis lucis caelum asking to go train in the mornings?!" Noctis shook his head "buzz off!" Prompto laughed "yep I had a day with gladio"
