Third Person

Alex remembered feeling this way, not too long ago. The sense of relief as she stepped off the plane, her feet landing on the California tarmac, a soft, warm breeze ruffling her hair.

She had made yet another flight, another step to conquering her fear - which she considered stupid. Along with every other of her 'stupid, childish' fears.

But as she made her way through LAX, she realized how much she actually needed to go on planes, to see Zach, to see her sister, and ultimately, to see the rest of the world.

Daniel had said they would be waiting at baggage claim, just as Christina had done the first time she and Zach had met. But when she got to baggage claimed, and had reclaimed her suitcases, the five boys were nowhere to be seen.

Which was also something slightly common, whilst in Florida, the boys were genuinely late for everything, and according to the guys it was all Zach's fault.

So you have no idea how surprised Alex was when Zach turned up completely alone. Zach spotted her before her him, and he slowly started to walk towards her, and watched as Alex turned and saw him.

She ran into his waiting arms, and he lifted her up slightly spinning around slowly. When Alex finally let go of him, she looked around confused.

"Where's everyone else?" She asked. Zach blushed slightly, raising his hand to rub the back of his neck, looking down at the floor.

"Well.. um I'm alone." Zach replied, causing Alex to laugh, then realize he was serious.

"Who the fuck gave you car keys?"

It was about 20 minutes later, and Zach had successfully not killed Alex, except with the suggestion of listening to 1D, and stopping to get chipotle.

"I love this feeling that right now, I wish you were here with me." Alex sang - horribly, may I add - to Right Now, causing Zach to laugh, glancing at her every second he can, before looking back at the road and trying to not crash.

"You're favorite song?" Zach asked. Alex nodded when he glanced over. Zach had given Alex the aux, which was probably a bad idea, seeing as she had been blasting 1D for almost all the time in the car.

"And A.M," She said, and her face lit up, and she scrolled through her playlist, adding the song the queue. "And we're gonna listen to that next!"

Zach laughed, and spotted a Chipotle. "We're gonna pull over and go to Chipotle if you want." He said, and laughed quietly as Alex smiled, obviously overly excited to go.

He pulls over and gets out, Alex following him, and they walk the short distance to the Chipotle, walking so close that with every step their hands brush against each others.

They got to the Chipotle and ordered then sat down. It wasn't long before some people started to recognize Zach, and some of them even noticed Alex, which made her smile.

In fact, one specific fan, a little girl with long red hair - who looked about seven - completely made Alex's day. The little girl slowly edged towards Alex, leaving who Alex presumed to be her mother behind.

"Excuse me? Alexia?" She said, causing Alex to look down and smile. "I was wondering if I could get a picture?"

Alex's smile couldn't get any bigger. She was practically speechless, this little seven year old girl's lisped world, said to her, instead of Zach, who she was definitely a fan of probably made her whole week.

"Of course, what's your name?" Alex asked, crouch down slightly so she was more in the little girl's view.

"I'm Annie." The girl said, and Alex nodded approvingly.

"A pretty name for a pretty girl." Alex said, and wrapped her arm around the young girl's waist, and the picture was taken. Annie's smile was so big by the time the picture had been taken.

"Are you and Zach dating?" Annie whispered, a tiny giggle escaping her lips. Alex shrugged.

"I'm not entirely sure." Alex whispered back, smiling. Then, Annie's mom called her away, and Alex and Zach got their food and left, deciding it would be better to eat in a more private setting.

"You're really happy after that." Zach commented, as soon as the pair got away from most of the crowd. Alex nodded, completely agreeing with him.

All because of this little girl Annie.
