Four days ago, Konoha was attcked by the Nine Tailed Fox. In results of many casualties and injuries, the two people who protected the village died.

My sensei and his wife.

Four days ago, Minato Namikaze and his wife, Kushina Uzumaki were killed by the Nine Tailed Fox. As the Hokage and First Lady, they sacrificed their lives.

And I was alone again. I have no one. I lost Obito almost two years ago, Rin close to a year ago and now Sensei and Kushina-san.

Worst part is, their child is an orphan. Only hours after his birth, they died. Hours.

Sensei, Kushina-san, I hope you will watch over him. Protect him.

How do I know this? Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi told me. At the time, I was the closest to sensei and Kushina-san.

Only a week ago, they said I was like their son. And they wished I would protect their child.

His name is Naruto Uzumaki. Blond hair, blue eyes and three whisker marks on each cheek. He was sleeping soundly when I first saw him.

Hokage-sama ordered I was not to adopt Naruto, and no matter how much I begged him to let me, he wouldn't resist his statement.

"Naruto is dangerous, right now. An infant holding the Tailed Beast... you could be killed! I will watch over him. Do not engage in any conversation with him, or consequences will come." Was what he said.

I get it but still.

I'm going to protect that baby. I'm going to watch over Naruto. It was a promise I made to my teacher a week ago.

And I'm hell bent on keeping it.
