Chapter 4 ( Family )

After having breakfast at the cafe we decided to go explore the mall some more and visit the new arcade that opened up.

"Hey there's the arcade!"Kyle shouted happily.

"I know Kyle calm down"

"There's a lot of claw machines"Kyle said as he was pulling me towards the Arcade.

The arcade wasn't that crowded as I expected it to be,So it would be easier to play other games without waiting in line.

"I'll go buy us some tokens" Kyle stated as he went towards the cashier.

While i was waiting for him i saw a family.There was a little girl playing with her mom and her dad,It made me think about my real family again.

What really happened to my family???

Kyle Pov

I just bought the tokens,So I headed back to where Alice was and i saw her staring at a family

Poor Alice if I could only do something to help.

"Hey lil mon i got the tokens"i said snapping her back from her thoughts.

"Ohhh...that's great" she replied.

"Let's go look at the games over there"

"Sure"

We kept on looking for a game to play and i could tell that she was distracted.

"Hey imma try the claw machine"i spoke

"Ok Kyle"

We headed to the claw machines and i found a cute dragon laying on one of the machines.

Alice loves dragons! Bingo!

"Hey lil mon look at that dragon"i said as I pointed out the dragon that's inside the machine.

"Awww...it's so cute"

"I'm going to get it for you"

"Really?"

"Of course just watch me"I said as i took one token and inserted it in the machine,I moved the joystick around and of course the crane follows it's movement so I quickly lead the crane using the joystick to the direction of the stuffed dragon.

"Lord I need your help"I whispered

And once the crane was on top of the dragon I neatly pushed to button.*Fingers crossed*The crane got a grip on the dragon and before you know it,It fell down the prize hole.

"Wow...I can't believe you even managed to get that"Alice said in awe.

"Well it takes years of practice ya know"I replied with a smirk

I got the dragon out of the prize box and handed it her.She looked at me with a beautiful smile "Wow...You're just gonna give this to me?"she asked.

"Yeah i know how much you love dragons...and ya k'now, you deserve it"I replied returning a soft smile.

She hesitated for a bit,but then she still took it"Thank you Kyle!"

"You're Welcome Lil mon"

After visiting the arcade we sat down on a nearby bench so that we can rest for a bit.

There was this awkward silence between us,So I decided to break it.

"So how's your parents doing?"i asked

"They're good,Still taking care of the family business"she replied

There it was again that silence.

"You know if something's troubling you,You know you can talk to me about it"i spoke with a concerned look.

She hesitated thinking if she should tell me about it.*Sigh*"You how someone feels when they want to know the truth?"she stated her eyes staring at the floor."You always knew that I've always wanted to see my real parents"

"I'm very thankful to my foster parents"she stopped"B-but I've always wanted to feel what it's like to be with my real family"

She almost broke down in tears but she's fighting it.I hugged her to show empathy"Hey Alice don't worry you'll see them one day"

She pulled away from the hugged and looked at me in shock"Omg!...!"she screamed.

"What is it?"

"Why don't i look for them!"

"Again?Alice you know how many times you tried then failed to find anything"

"I'll keep on trying and trying Kyle.Not until I meet them"

I smiled at her because she never gives up even after all these years.
