Amour was a young lady from around the way. Shes been around the hood her whole life. She never gives these boys chances so they always assume she's stuck up. One comes along and tries to see what's she's stuck up over.

"Sis this shop is the shit! I need to shop in here for everything" i said looking in the racks
She laughed "Girl it's been a long time coming, but my little shop is up and running"
"Little? Talia with the stuff in here you could be blowing up" i said
She smiled "Weeeeeell i was hoping you could help me with that"
I shrugged "Anything you need."
"Just you"
"Me? What you want me to do? I can shake a lil ass outside get some people in here" i joked
"Rashad will kill us both" She laughed "Your so pretty and your body is amazing. Just model for me"
"You want little ole me to model? Well of course!" I said putting my hands on my hips "When you want me to?"
"Let's discuss it over lunch?"
I nodded "Girl i could always eat"
We got in my car and drove off to a lil deli that was well known in town. I ordered my regular sandwich and fries and Talia got a salad and a smoothie.
I rejected Jessi's call because i didn't wanna be rude to Talia.
"You a health kick?" I asked laughing
"Giiiiiiirl" she breathed out "I'm trying to be"
We shared a laugh
"So talk to me about the photo shoot" i said munching on my food
She took bites outta her salad "my friend Tae will do your hair, I'll book someone to do your make up, and the best photographer in Houston, Cameron of course will do your photos. Just want you in some different looks: like sporty, night out, sexy, chilling outs you know."
I nodded listening.
"It'll be some other models there but you'll be the main face" she said
I smiled we sat there talking it all over. We got sidetracked talking and laughing and joking.
"Girl and then i ended up being put in the back of a squad car" Talia continued her story wiping a tear from laughing so hard
I held my stomach laughing "Bitch you are crazy"
"She shouldn't have ran up on me like that" Talia said laughing so hard
I heard a throat clear and we both looked up.
"Hey J" i said acknowledging Jessi's presence
She held food bags in her hand "Hey"
She looked at Talia "Who is this?"
Talia smiles and stuck out her hand "Oh I'm her cousin in law, Talia"
I laughed at her cousin in law remark. I watched as Jessi shook Talias hand uneasy like.
"What y'all doing?" She asked
"Having a lil lunch date" Talia smiled innocently
Jessi squinted her eyes rolling them and then looking at me "Well I'll see you around I guess Amour"
She walked away, i don't know why Jessi was acting like that.
"I don't think she likes me" Talia said laughing a little
I chuckled "Jessi Just is weird acting don't take it to heart"
She nodded and we continued on own lunch. I was on the phone with Rashad as I dropped Talia off at her shop.
"Bye friiiiiend!" I yelled after her laughing
She waved "Bye frrrrrrriend!!!"
She walked into the store and i pulled off heading to my mama house.
"I love Talia. She's so cool, neeeeeew friend" Rashad laughed "Y'all are goofy, i watched y'all instasnaps and snaps. Two bobble heads"
We kept talking till i pulled up at my mama house.
"Letmme call you baby love, I'm at my mom house" "Ite I'll be up with you later" "Okay" "Bye" "Bye"
I walked inside using my house key.
"Mom! Ariel!" I yelled following the food smells into the kitchen
My mom was sitting down at the table feeding Ariel and eating her own food. And they were looking at pictures of my brother.
"This is your daddy when he was your age. He was so cute and chunky" My mom coo'd
"Hey mom" i kissed her cheek "Hey brat" i kissed Ariel's forehead
"Don't call my baby a brat" My mom smacked my shoulder
I laughed "She is a brat, but she's my brat"
I sat down at the table crossing my arms leaning on the table looking at the picture "You talk to Zariah?"
My mom sighed clearly frustrated "Not yet. I'm really close to taking her to court. She can't hold Ariel hostage and then abandon her. I'm not having it."
"Mom I'm ready for court whenever you are. You know I'll pay for court and lawyer fees" i assured her
"I know. I know. But I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because of baby boy" She said running her fingers through her hair
Chris and Zariah had a complicated relationship. He loved every bit of her but wouldn't actually date her because of his business in the drug game. Then when he got her pregnant, he was so damn excited. They promised that eventually they'd get right and be together. He died before it could happen.
"She's treating Ariel wrong i seen the way Ariel jumps when she yells and all that. Something is going on" I insisted
"Well shes with us for now, I'll have to pray over the whole court situation"
I nodded accepting her answer. We talked for awhile and then i decided to leave and head back to Rashad's house.
I walk inside plopping down on his couch turning on the TV.
