Waking up in the spot where she and Ralsei last met in the castle courtyard where he usually sat waiting for the Lightners, Starri realized she could smell cake baking from the kitchen. She got up and went into the room, lightly knocking on the doorframe.
"Knock knock~" Ralsei turned around in the middle of taking his cake out and his eyes lit up.
"Starri!" He quickly put the cake on the counter and tackle hugged her, making her blush under her new yellow-cream fur. She giggled and patted his hat.
"Yep, I'm back. Got bored in class again, Alphys lost her chalk and two other students went out to find it." Ralsei hopped away to put his cake in the fridge.
"Same old, same old with you, huh Starri?"
"Heh, yep." They talked in the kitchen for a while until Starri heard faint voices. "Ralsei, someone's here!" He jumped.
"The Lightners! They must have finally arrived!" He put on his purple cloak and ran out to the courtyard while Starri just stayed in the kitchen. After what felt like only a minute of her listening to Ralsei teach the newcomers about the legend of Delta Rune like he's told her many times over, she heard someone speeding in on a bike and Ralsei screaming for a second. She gasped softly and readied her energy attacks before seeing two people who had an uncanny likeness to Kris and Susie from her class fighting off a small, familiar spade boy. She watched with interest as they fought until he left and Ralsei returned. They talked for a bit longer before the one that looked and acted like Susie(and probably was Susie, somehow) left. Ralsei and the blue Kris look-alike went after her, leaving Starri behind. She wasn't having that, though. She made her attacks disappear and started following them, though she stayed hidden and quiet. She'd interfere if things got too intense... Or if someone started flirting with her Ralsei.
'Wait... My Ralsei?' She didn't even know she thought of him that way. It wasn't weird that she enjoyed being around him more than anyone else. It wasn't weird that she could be so open with him when she barely even spoke to anyone else.
It was a little weird that her heart sped up and her face got warm when he got closer than normal or tried to help her with anything. 'What is this?' Her mind traced over the possibilities as she trailed the group as quietly as she could, but she just couldn't put her finger on it...WeLp HeRe CoMeS tHe ShIpPiNg- *cue shippers bursting in through the doors screaming 'OMG I SHIP IT' and 'OMG JUST GO UP AND KISS HIM ALREADY'* *yeah I'm onto you all I'm one of you so I know your mindset* *lé suspicious 'scouting for shippers' look*
