["good thing my mom didn't see that." finn speaks.]

Y/N'S POV !

"OH?" A VOICE ANNOUNCES FROM BEHIND US. but it doesn't sound like mary. the voice is louder— still smaller, though. our heads whip around to see who could be standing there.

paradyse.

are you surprised?
(i ain't hating i love this girl)

"oh my god, paradyse. i thought you were-" finn starts.

"your mom?" another voices sarcastically asks. and not to our surprise, it is mary. finn opens his mouth as if to speak, but blushes instead.

"um paradyse, did you see us...?" i hesitantly ask the girl.

"maybe. why are you so worried about it?" she replies, "i've nearly seen you two make out before," she looks at us like we're confused, "remember? before the party?"

but mary is still standing next to paradyse. finn glares at the girl, and she stops talking. but mary just giggles and walks away.

"paradyse!" i whisper-yell at her.

PARADYSE'S POV !
(well this is new but i like it)
✰✰✰

am i trying to tease them? yes. did i know it was such a big deal? no. i guess we're just different that way.

i would be fine with my mom knowing that i kissed someone. the only thing is, i wouldn't be fine if she saw me kissing a girl. sure, i've brought guys home... but girls? she has no idea i'm bi. and i don't plan on telling her anytime soon.

"what?!" i whisper-yell back at y/n.

"you just—but, we," she trips over her words, "finn's mom—we didn't tell...ugh!"

"what she's trying to say," finn picks up where she left off, "is that my mom doesn't know we're really close."

"so you decided to make out while she was literally two steps away?" i reply.

"first off, we weren't making out-"

"whatever you say, wolfhard. i'm sticking with what i saw. and i sure didn't see just a kiss. but sure."

"fine," he simply says, "but why are you here anyway?"

"well i thought we could go and get y/n a registration sheet."

"registration sheet? for what?" y/n demands.

"high school, silly. what? you're just gonna stop school?" i reply.

y/n shares a look with finn. he sincerely smiles as if to say, 'look kid, i know you don't want to hear this, which is why i'm not saying it, but she's right'.
