I was probably a terrible person for even asking that, right after ruining his suit, but he didn't seem mad. The man just nodded, his face akin to that of a baby.

"Woah, woah. Ara," interrupted Ecko, holding up a hand and seeming confused. "This guy could just be some pedophile who knows your name." The man's eyes widened as Delilah started to cough, walking up to me from behind and gripping my shoulders.

"I think she's right... I'm sorry, sir, but who are you?" asks Delilah like the polite little girl she is. Well... Hmm... She's taller than me, but I am, after all, older than her.

The man blinked. "Dave Rogers. I'm a part of the school board for a prestigious school called 'Letalis Academy.' Do you really not know who I am, Ms. Ansley?" I shrug and smile apologetically.

        "Sounds familiar, if that helps."

"'If that helps'? Really, Ara?" Ecko rolled her eyes. Wow, rude much... Distractedly, I began to braid a lock of my hair, which, I must say, is really soft. "Who do you think told you?"

"My parents. Duh." I stuck my tongue out at her once more. "Weirdo."

"I am not a weirdo! I am a yaoi-loving girl who spends her time on the Internet." She huffed, pushing my face away.

I dropped my arms and shrugged the sleeves over my hands before rubbing them on my forehead. "Are your hands even clean?!"

        "Of course they are-"

"GUYS." interrupted Lil, waving her arms with wide, annoyed eyes. "We should deal with this right now, you know?" I looked away from Ecko to see a very irritated Dave Rogers. I think I'll christen him as Tubs... Wait, can I do that? I'm agnostic, but I'm pretty accepting of every religion except for ones that include sacrifices. Well, whatever. I am now able to name people whatever I'd like.

"What are you here for?" Pursing my lips, I wiggled my mouth slightly to jiggle my cheeks.

"Sir." added on Delilah, wanting to be polite once more. She tucked her arms behind her, her book in one hand while the other gripped her other wrist.

Tubs nodded his head at the two of us, ignoring Lil and Ecko. "I'm here to congratulate Ms. Ansley. She has just been accepted on a scholarship as a student to the academy!"

"What did I do for that?" I laughed quietly at this cocky asshole. Should I really say 'cocky' if he probably can't see his own? Oh my cod, that was rude. I am so sorry for violating kind rules. But, hey, I treat people how they treat me and I have a feeling he's thinking rude things about me, too. This was actually quite amusing, even though my Converse were starting to feel soggy from the hot cocoa. Well, not so hot anymore. But still.

"One of the other board members had gone to a pageant of yours and witnessed your skilled violin-playing, along with the way you properly executed what you had to." Hiding a grimace, I kept at a smile for wittle Tubs.

"So you're saying it'd be an honor to have me at the academy?" Lil jabbed an elbow into my side, practically telling me, 'Don't push it.'

"Actually, yes, it would be a very large honor to have you at the academy!" He beamed widely at me with coffee-stained teeth, as if what I'd said meant I was going.

It wouldn't be fun at all if I didn't get what I really wanted from this... He was too sure of himself, and I want to kick his imaginary high-horse without actually kicking a horse. "Alright, if it's such a huge honor, you wouldn't mind a favor for me, right? After all, you did yell at me, and I'm a very large honor, but you practically called me useless." Tubs's smile faded away as if smelling something foul.
