I made my way into town and up to my spot. I walked up the stairs and across the roof to my spot only to find someone sitting there. "Is that what was left in the vault?" he asked. "That's all of it." I replied and tossed him the bag. "I drove by your house on my way to take Ohm and CaRtOoNz home and it looks empty but I don't know if anyone is inside." he explained. I nodded telling him I understand. "If anyone is still there then it's probably Delirious." I said as I sat down next to him. "Karmen went down to her vault after you left and she found Kyle dead on the ground. Want to talk about it?" he asked but I didn't give an answer.
"I didn't feel like myself. I smiled as the fear rose and the tears fell. My body went numb as I held the gun to his chest. I felt nothing when I pulled the trigger. I made it to where he would bleed out and watch me walk away and again I didn't show empathy or mercy. It's 3:00 in the morning. I'm going home, see you later." I say as I get up and head home. I finally make it home and head inside. I opened the door to find Buck and Myra waiting for me. I smiled knowing that Delirious stayed here and waited for me. I can hear the TV in the living playing so I walked and quickly noticed that not only did Delirious stay but so did everyone else. I smile and look for the remote. I find the remote lying on Vanoss' chest so I carefully pick it up and turn off the TV while trying not to wake anyone. I put the remote down and begin to walk away when I accidentally kicked Wildcats foot making him move around but luckily I didn't wake him. I walked to the kitchen and noticed Lui cooking on the stove.
"I see you've made yourself comfortable." I said with smile as he jumped in surprise. "You scared the hell out of me." he replied in squeaky voice that made me giggle. "Whatcha cookin'?" I asked taking a seat on one of the bar stools at the kitchen island. "Grilled cheese, want one?" he asked. "Sure." I replied. He turned around and made another sandwich. Once he was done, he put it on a plate and handed it to me. "I heard that Delirious and CaRtOoNz have a big crush on you." he said as he put the pan in the sink. "Is it that obvious?" I asked. We see the way they look at you and vise versa." he said making me blush. "What else have you noticed?" I asked him. "I've noticed that your eyes were E/C but now they are glowing blue." he replied. I smiled as I took a bite of my sandwich. I looked at him and counted down from 3.
"3, 2, 1..." I say as I jump up and hide in the dark part of the kitchen when Delirious walks in. "IT'S ALIVE!!" Lui joked and Delirious playfully punched his arm. "Why are you talking to yourself?" asked Delirious. "I'm not talking to myself, I'm talking to my friend." Lui replied. "And where is your friend, Lui?" he asked. I walked closer to them and stopped behind Delirious. I can tell that my eyes were still glowing because Lui pointed in my direction making Delirious turn around. "Standing right here." I announced making him jump up in surprise. Moments of silence past as we stood there staring at each other before I took a step closer to him. He suddenly pulls me into a big and long hug.
"Where have you been?" he asked. "Taking care of some things like blowing up a building or two maybe three." I replied. "So you're the one responsible for blowing up those buildings down town. I'm guessing that was to cause a distraction?" Lui asked raising a brow. "Yup, I had a job to do and they were in the way so they had to go." I mentioned. "Nice." he said sitting down as he took a bite of my sandwich.
"Then we headed to a hilltop that over looked the city, setup our guns and blew up a building or two so Shauns attention would turn to the city and away from me. Once we were done, I headed back to remains of the house and went in the vault hidden somewhere in the backyard. Once I was in the vault, I did something that I should have done a long time ago then grabbed my stuff and left." I added.
"What did you do?" they asked. I didn't know how to respond so I hesitated.
"I don't want to talk about it, if that's okay?" I replied and they nodded. I looked at what was left of my sandwich and grinned.
"Was that your sandwich we just ate?" he asked.
"You mean the one that wasn't yours?" Lui asked in returned.
"Yes it was but you can have the rest, I'm going upstairs and try to get some sleep." I replied then headed upstairs. I walked into my room and turned on the lights to look around. My phone sat on the nightstand and the bed looked like someone was lying on it. I kicked my shoes off and laid down to sleep. I tossed and turned for about 20 minutes before I got up and walked to the window. I picked up my phone and walked to a door down the hall. I opened the door and headed up the stairs leading to a balcony on the roof. Upon the balcony sits 4 sets of tables and chairs. I walked to the far end of the balcony and leaned over the railing looking around the neighborhood. I look down my driveway and spot Ohm pulling up. I watch as he and CaRtOoNz parked the car and got out. Once they made it inside, I locked the front door through my phone. Moments pass when I footsteps behind me.
"Y/N?"he asked.
"Yes Ohm?" I asked in return.
"Is it true?" he asked walking closer to me.
"I didn't hesitate pulling the trigger, I smiled as he cried, I laughed as he begged for forgiveness. As I walked home, I thought back to the people I've killed and realized that I did the same thing to them as I did to Kyle and it's all our mothers and grandparents fault. If it wasn't for them trying to kill me, I never would have learned how to kill in the first place. They made me the monster that I am today." I answered.
"Y/N, I know that it's their fault and I'm not upset for you did. To be honest, I'm proud and impressed that you did so fast. Jordan told us what your assignment was and explained why it had to be done. You're not a monster, you're my sister and I wouldn't have it any other way." he replied back.
"So you're glad I did it?" I asked.
"Vanoss wanted to do it but you beat him to it." he replied.
"I feel like he was hiding something and so was Casey." I said as I ran a hand through my hair.
"Whatever it was, I'm pretty sure we'll find out soon enough." he said back. My eyes grew heavy as he pulls me into a hug. I pull away as my phone began to ring so I answered it.
"Y/N, I received a text from an unknown number saying that they want you and I to meet them down at the pier. What do you want to do?" Jordan asked.
"What do you think we should do?" I asked in return.
"I think we should go see who it is and see what they want then work from there." he answered.
"Meet me there, I'm leaving now." I said before hanging up.
"What happened?" asked Ohm.
"Jordan and I were asked to meet someone down at the pier, wanna join?" I asked in return. He nodded and we headed downstairs. He told the others that we'll be back then walked out the door.
"When can I drive your car?" he asked. I looked at him and smiled.
"If you want to drive it, why didn't you just ask?" I replied as I handed him the keys. He looked at me and grinned as he sat in the driver seat. He starts the engine and revs it. The roar of the engine made us smile. I shut the passenger door and off we went. I was slowly drifted into space when Ohm got my attention.
"Everything OK? he asked. I gave him a weak smile before answering.
"Yea, I was just thinking." I replied.
"Delirious or CaRtOoNz?" he asked. I looked over at him with a confused look.
"What?" I asked in return.
"Are you thinking about CaRtOoNz or Delirious?" he asked again. I looked at him and smiled again.
"Both." I answered. He glanced over at me as a smile grew on his face. Nothing else was said for the rest of the ride.
