Inmate (MiChaeng) -Slow Updates-

Chapter 4

One by one the inmates started walking in with a few guards. They went into rows of twelves.

Mina looked at all of them from the front with Bambam. When Mina looked around her focus was really only one person.

Mina searched and found who she was looking for at the third row in the middle. As Mina kept looking, slowly her eyes started forming tears.

"Alright! Listen Up!" Bambam screamed which got Mina's attention.

Mina forced her tears back and watched Bambam do the role.

"Listen for you name and number when you hear it just say Here or something! Got It?" He screamed.

Mina looked back at the inmates and realized that all of them were looking down.

'Did something happen?'

Bambam was calling out role right now but at the moment Mina can't hear a thing.

She doesn't know what Bambam is saying or as if she doesn't want to hear? Mina looks around. She ends up looking at the same person from earlier.

"Hirai Momo #64!" Bambam shouted.

Mina heard him say that name and she quickly glanced at him before returning her eyes to her.

Mina stared at her and it looked like she mumbled something.

"I Can't HEAR YOU!" Bambam shouted and glanced up from his clipboard. He glared at Momo.

"He..re!" Momo screamed. Actually not even.. She yelped.

Mina clearly noticed.. but she stood still and continued watching everyone.

From the cornor of Mina's eye she could tell that Bambam shook his head. Mina turned her head slightly towards Bambam. She glanced at him and can't fully tell what she just saw.

'Was he smirking?'

A few minutes after they we close to the end. Just a few more people to go and the afternoon role call would finally be over.

"Son Chaeyoung #29!" Bambam screamed again.

Someone other than Momo got the attention of Mina this time. Mina turned to who was next in line.

'What?' Mina thought.

She looked over and saw a the smol from earlier but with a mask of a tiger on. Earlier Mina only saw a bit of her face so she was expecting to see her face clearly this time but she completely forgot she existed.

"PRESENT!" Screamed the people in her row.

Mina took a step back from the sudden shout of the inmates.

'Who the hell- What the hell is she?!' Is the only thing Mina could think of at the moment.

Bambam sighed. "Alright alright." He said marking something down.

'What?! That's how he replies after that sudden scream attack from them?! She didn't even say that she was here!' Mina thought to herself.

"Ms. Mina." Bambam said.

Mina turned her head to her. "Yes?" Mina said in a rude way accidentally.

Bambam smiled from her rudeness but you could tell he was offended somehow.

"Why don't you do the last 3 people so you know how to do it later for Evening role call, alright?" He said still smiling with an upset person inside of him.

"Alright." Mina said taking the clipboard from Bambam.

She flipped the page to the last where the last 3 names were listed.

She looked at them and took a breath in. "Lee Chaeyeon #16!" Mina screamed.

A few seconds later no one responded. Mina waited a few more seconds and started tapping on the clipboard with her pen. Half a minute passed and she stared at the back row. She saw that there was a spot empty.

"Okay.. not here." Mina said tilting her head to the side for a second.

Mina said the last 2 names and the afternoon role call finished. The guards who brought the inmates in brought them back to their cells. Mina and Bambam were left there but not for long. Mina gave back the clipboard to Bambam and started walking to the exit.

"Wait!" Bambam called.

Mina turned around flipping her hair like a goddess.

Bambam's cheeks had a tint of red now.

"Aghem. Um can you come here real quick?" He said to her.

Mina nodded with a confused face and headed towards him.

"Ok so you know Chaeyeon, the inmate who wasn't here? Yea so whoever isn't here it's our job to make sure we find them and give them punishment for not being at role call, alright?" He said looking at me with one brow up.

"So, since Chaeyeon was not at role call today, are you able to look for her?"

Mina nodded. "Ok yeah, I'll look for her now."

"Alright thank you." Bambam smiled with a real one this time.

He smiled and brought his hand to Mina's head and patted her.

Mina furrowed her eyebrows and removed his hand from her head.

"Sorry but don't touch me." Mina said before leaving the room.

After Mina was out of sight. Bambam whispered, "Damn.. she might be worth it."

"Bambam don't get carried away." A person who was hiding at the dark cornor said.

"Yeah yea.. Ima go now. Cya." Bambam said heading towards the exit waving.

Who is this person? Why did Bambam smirk earlier? Who is Lee Chaeyeon and what was her reason for not being at rolecall?
