Chapter 12 ChūExams Ⅱ : Forest of Death

"What scroll did we got teme ?" Naruto who was sprinting beside Sasuke asked.

Sasuke showed him a white scroll, "The heavens scroll. So we need a earth scroll to win." He said, keeping the scroll back to his pouch.

Sakura was silent, following behind them the whole time.

Although she was heartbroken at how they treated for, but they were still her teammates, so she was going to protect them. Her sensitivity got higher since she was on edge, and her sense of chakra field got wider.

Not long, they were immediately attacked by a barrage of shurikens thrown at their way.

Team 7 who faced much more threatening situations, just dodged them, and then landed on the ground for a more stable fightning ground.

"Right !" Sakura yelled, sensing a chakra presence near them.

Sasuke who had his sharingan activated, took out a kunai and shot it right at the direction Sakura yelled.

A loud scream indicating that he had indeed hit the target.

"You're sooo going to pay !" A voice screamed.

A boy appearing in front of them. Another boy was holding onto the injured boy appeared beside him.

"Now, why don't you give us your scroll and you could be on your merry little way to failure ?" The boy taunted, equipping a kunai in hand.

Naruto smirked, his hand shaped into a T-form, "I don't think so-dattebayo !"

A row of Naruto's clones appeared, and the three stiffen at their place, not expecting Naruto could even summom that much clones.

"Now." Sasuke smirked in mockery, his sharingan spun rapidly, "Who's the one going to give us the scrolls ?"

Sakura just stayed behind them, knowing they could easily defeat the three ninjas from the hidden earth. She was on the lookout if there's more incoming ninja since her teammates would always get too sucked into battles and ignore their surrondings.

After an obviously overpowered battle, Naruto and Sasuke emerged victorious. The Uchiha went into their pouches and stole the scroll from them. He groaned when he saw it's the white scroll.

"Let's take it with us." Sakura suggested.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes, "What ? I'm not carrying that heavy stuff when we're running." He still didn't want to agree on Sakura.

The pinkette sighed, taking the scroll away from him, "The enemies would think that I'll carry the scroll since you two are much more to the offensive type. So, having this as a backup would be a reassurance." She explained.

Sasuke huffed, irritated, and got back on track. Naruto just spared a glance at the pinkette and followed after.

Sakura had a grim look on her face, clutching onto her scroll, but immediately shook her head as a determined spark  could be seen flashing in her jade eyes.
