"Could you send in Team 7. Kris-san ?" Minato spoke into the communication device, which a reply of "of course, yondaime-sama" answered him and he thanked his assistant.

The fourth hokage, smiled to himself, a mission scroll playing between his fingers as he recalled a memory last night with his precious family.

Flashback

"Welcome home daddddd !!"

Uzumaki Naruto immediately pounced onto the male who chuckled, catching him safely in his arms that always let people feel secure and protected.

"Narutoooo ! How dare you take daddy for yourself-dattebane !!"

The mother of the family, rushed to the father and son, with a spatula in hand, pointing a finger accusingly to the boy that stuck out a tongue to her.

Minato had his hand in a fanning motion, trying to calm his hotheaded wife, with a dry smile decorated his facial features.

"Now, now, Kushina...I think it's rather impolite to point a finger to your son.." Minato reasoned.

Kushina pouted, going into a aggrieved play, "Minato ! Are you seriously taking Naruto's side-dattebane ?!"

Minato was about to explain, but Naruto, being the equally hotheaded son, jumped between the duo, giving her a smug grin, "Because dad loves me more-dattebayo !"

Minato was holding back the urge to slap his forehead.

Is Naruto really this....dense ?

Calling your son stupid isn't the right thing to do now, is it ?

Kushina had a heartbroken expression, her eyes boring into Minato's own, "Is...is that true...?" She choked, tears at the corner of her eyes.

"I love you both the same." Minato sighed, taking his wife in a hug with Naruto sitting on his shoulder.

"Dattebane ! /Dattebayo ! "

Minato smiled softly at the matching grin Kushina and Naruto gave him.

"Anyway, dinner's ready. Take Naruto to the table, will you sweety, ?" Kushina reluctantly pulled away from the hug.

Minato nodded, "Alright, Naruto. You ready for mom's cooking ?" Naruto's grin twitched at Minato's nervous smile.

Truly, They loved Kushina dearly, but seriously, how can food be cooked that horribly ?

"So, anything fun happened at school today Naruto ?" Minato started, placing a small bite of fish into Naruto's plate, which the boy glared at his father for trying to kill him.
