Tinypaw

A.N: Its been awhile. Im back writing and im trying to do better. Im gonna start spending more time writing than just quickly jotting something down then uploading. If i have the patience. Well enjoy.

Warmth swept over me as my body gained consciousness. I peeked open my left eye seeing the sun as it beamed into the den. I then opened my right eye. The sun had hurt a bit but my eyes adjusted. I stared at the little particles in the rays as they floated around.

It was quiet and calm. I looked over seeing a few other apprentices still asleep. Its been a few days since I joined Thunder Clan and boy has it been hectic. I had to train and learn so much about the clans. I also have to remember all the cats names. Can my brain take it?

I got up then stretched "What should i do this morning?" I thought to myself. My morning was free since my training was pushed back into the afternoon. My mentor had to go on morning patrol.

I exited the den deciding to go see around the camp. Perhaps see the elders giving them a nice friendly 'Hiya!' I made my way through the camp until i reached were the elders reside. I noticed some other cat there having a conversation with the elders. She was about my height so she had to be an apprentice. She dark grey fur, but couldn't see her face since she was facing forward when talking to the elder infront of her.

I walked over anyways. "Heeeelllooooo~" I sang joyfully. "Ah morning Junepaw" the elder said. That's what i really liked about the elders. Even though i have kittypet roots they didn't seem to mind. I remembered what happened when i asked why.

Flashback:

I walked over to a den. I think this was the elders den. I poked my head inside seeing a few elders. One noticed me. "Ah..hello" he spoke gently with a brittle voice. "Hi." i replied a bit shyly but i had to keep confident. I walked inside the den. "...Are you the new apprentice?" he asked, i nodded in response. He smiled, "Its nice to meet you." I smiled back, "Nice to meet you too. My name is Junepaw."

He started to stare at my bang intently. "Err... What is it?" i asked starting to feel uncomfortable. "What a strange birthmark. A heart?" he said as he continued to stare. I then realized he meant my permanent makeup mark."Oh hehe its not a birthmark! You see my old owner had a makeup artist put this permanent mark on me" he then cocked his head to the side "A makeup artist?" Ohh boy.

I explained what a makeup artist was, it took awhile but he seemed to enjoy learning something new. It then hit me. Why was he so friendly to a runt kittypet like me, when everyone else was so cold? "Uhm.. Can i ask you a question?" i asked. "Sure " i sighed and glanced away a bit. "..Why are you so nice to an outsider like me? Everyone else hates me.." he didn't speak for a moment when i asked, then he replied "Well it seems a waste of time being rude just because one is different. If you respect and fight for your clan thats all should matter even if you have kittypet roots." i stared at him then smiled "Ah. Uh thanks" he nodded in response.

I shivered a bit feeling eyes watching me. I glanced back but no one was there. Hm must just be my imagination....

End of flashback.

The other apprentice glanced over at me, she had dull grey eyes with a scar over one of them. "Hi." i said gleefully, giving her a warm smile. She looked away "Hey..." she said her voice was heavy. A TSNDERE?!

"Junepaw this is Tinypaw" the elder said. I walked over and sat down next to her. She glanced at me but then looked away. Definitely tsundere. "No need to be so shy. I don't bite" i said giving a small chuckle. "I know." Tinypaw said, still not making eye contact. Her voice... She had an accent. It was a heavy British accent. So heavy that it makes it hard to understand her.

"Now-now Tinypaw. No need to be shy. It'll be great to befriend the newcomer." The elder said "Yea!~" i said as I playfully pounced on her. I stared down at her as i pinned her."We can befriend!' i cheered. My large fluffy tail swishing like a dogs.

Tinypaw looked at me with such shock. "Ah oopsie daisies! I got carried away." i said sheepishly. I got off her. "..Its alright i guess." Tinypaw said as she got up. My tail was still swishing but not as fast. "Okay if were going to make this work I say we go do something!" I was still full of eagerness. Meeting someone with the possibility of being friends? Of course ill be happy. Tinypaw stared at me finally making complete eye contact "Like what?" I thought for a moment. "How about.. Exploring!?"

She stared at me for a moment. I swear everytime i do something random her eyes seem to twinkle a bit and not be so dull. But it'll quickly disappear just as it comes, making her dull eyes reappear. "..Explore what though?" she asked. "Anything interesting, show me around and stuff" The elder laughed softly at us. "How interesting. You two have fun" he then walked off after speaking. Tinypaw jumped up from sitting "W-wait A-" "Come on Tinypaw!" I said cutting her off. I skipped out of the den. Tinypaw sighed and followed.

"Your introduction is... So bold." Tinypaw said once she caught up.I looked at her, "Huh? Im sorry i couldn't understand..." Her accent was just too heavy. "I said your introduction is very bold!" she seemed upset. "Oooohhhhhhh! Am I too bold?" "Well..more bold in first meeting someone than me." i laughed at bit "So Miss.Tour Guide. Where shall we head today?" "Anywhere you wanna go." I looked all around my area. "Eh hm. How about we go to the sunningrocks?!" I've never seen it yet. But last night some apprentices mentioned it in their conversation." She gave me a surprised look, "No one showed you too sunningrocks?" I shook my head. "I suppose. But we have to be careful because sunningrocks is right next to River Clan so we might run into a patrol or a warrior." I smiled brightly "Got it. Yaaay~ Lead the way Tiny paw!" She nodded and padded off, I followed her.

As we walked I kept blabbing on about the scenery and about other animals near. Tiny paw didn't say much but just either chuckled or replied. I couldn't tell if she was warming up to me. My optimisim was probably driving her insane.

We soon reached the sunningrocks "Wooww!" i stared at the rocks with awe. "Neat right?" Tiny paw said as she walked over to one of the rocks. "Yeah!!" I followed her. I jumped on one and lied down. "So waaaarrrmmm~" i purred. "Yeah they are." There was soon a little brushle in the bushes nearby. Both of us perked up our ears and head being alert. "Who's there?" Tiny paw hissed.

A cat jumped out from the brush. "Just me."
