Me and the Lancasters decided to have brunch at Denny's (my favriote diner place). So many memories were made here, precious ones especially .
We have to stand in a line for about twenty minutes because of how piled this place is. When we do get to our seats, we end up sitting in the back inside a booth. Mr.Lancaster and Nahir in one side, me and Mrs.Lancaster on the other.
"Are you going to go wash your hands or wait till we come back?" Mrs.Lancaster ask me .The face expression she wore showed she was hiding something, and that interest me; especially when it was received from Mrs.Lancaster.
"I'll go now." I replied.
"K." She dazzled at me.
I step in the bathroom, and turn to the sink to wash my hands. That's when Mrs.Lancaster brakes the silence.
" I see you two when you're together. It's beautiful, not just in a church Christian way...Is there anything going on there ?"
"Mrs.Lancaster, so your on the ship too? Sorry, you're for one that's already sailed."
"Maybe its just floating, and waiting for that one-big-wave." She innocently poked.
"Riiiight... I don't think whatever could be going on would be good for any of us, so its not going to."
"Why not?" She questioned, head cocked to the side, eyes slightly squinted in her attentiveness.
"Look, Nahir's a very handsome, amazingly caring boy, and friend... but there's just some things to good to become damaged."
"And what would do the damaging?" She pondered.
"Isn't it obvious ?" I stall.
"No, its not. Because all the things running through your head, were slid in there to stop you from getting happiness- your JOY. They're are all poison. You're a very beautiful young lady, who happens have faults. You're not colateral damage if you make a small error or mistake here, and there.Like everyone else you're human. Personally, you're a gift to all of us. More specifically a blessing to some. Even though you may not see it you're the glue to our circle . Although imperfect you are, aren't we all? That's what makes you a perfect sculpture inside, and out. That's what makes you a perfect you ."
"Thank you Mrs.Lancaster, but that doesn't change anything." I sadly disagree.
"All I'm going to say is I used to be like you. So, so indenial. Know when you try to deny the inevitable, it only brings on twice as much carvingwhen you have it finally . You may not see it now, but you'll most definitely see it later."
I try to think of something to say, but I can't . Her words are leveling on my mind, but not enough to change it. I know what I want , and nothing can change that.
" Stop holding back your happiness,- your JOY! You deserve it ." She enthusiastically supports.
" Of course I won't."
"Hmph." She sigs reminiscing, and dries her hands.
Weird.
I go back to our table, and sit down. The family is laughing and talking. I notice Nahir stops being as attentive to the conversation when I come back. I automatically look anywhere, but him. Potentially trying to figure out what to eat, though its very brief. I'm pretty sure I already know what I want.
It only last about five more minutes before trouble starts. I feel a leg kick me under the table. Already knowing who it is, I ignore it the first, second and third time. But once the fourth comes I kick with so much force to the leg I know they're gonna be in pain. Turns out it was the wrong leg.
