"'Mione, where are you ?!" Draco called as he passed through the destroyed hallways of Hogwarts. It had been a year since their first argument and they didn't see each other since.
Draco hadn't seen Hermione since she went to Malfoy Manor after Harry had said Voldemort's name, which had been turned into a taboo so that his Death Eaters could track down and capture his enemies. Draco was shocked when he was told to identify them as Harry's face had been shot with a Stunning Jinx. He even tried to cover for them for Hermione's safety and he tried not to scream in agony as he watched his aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange, torture Hermione to tell her where she got the goblin-made sword of Godric Gryffindor. Draco finally felt relieved after Dobby, his family's ex-house elf, rescued Harry, Ron, Hermione and all the other people who were kidnapped who Voldemort had questioned.
Now, Draco searched the hallways, making sure that Hermione wasn't one of the deceased who had fallen from the battle. He felt relieved after he passed the great hall and didn't see her there although he was hoping that wherever she was now, she was safe and not in mortal danger.
Although, Hermione knew that Draco was a Death Eater, she didn't persuade Draco to change sides, but in the end, Draco did switch sides. He was now on the side of good.
Crash ! A loud crash could be heard and Draco's heart began to race. He ran through the corridor until he reached the place where he heard the crash.
On the floor, Draco spotted what appeared to be a shattered portrait. The broken pieces of the frame lay scattered across the corridor, as well as the remnants of the painting, which in the wizarding world was moving.
Draco sighed with relief. The crash had nothing to do with Hermione. He continued down the corridor, determined to make sure that Hermione was safe.

"You can do it Harry", Hermione thought to herself as she and the rest of the students watched the battle between Harry and Voldemort. Sixteen years had passed since Harry had first defeated Voldemort, and now, the young witches and wizards witnessed it once more.
"Expelliarmus !" Harry yelled as Voldemort had yelled "Avada Kedavra!" Instantly, green and red light blasted from the tips of their wands. It was like in slow motion, the two spells met at the dead center and before anyone knew what was happening, Voldemort fell to the ground, dead.
Immediately, the sounds of cheering filled the courtyard and Hermione and Ron ran towards their best friend, congratulating him for his victory.
"You did it !" Hermione cried, engulfing Harry in a hug. "You defeated Voldemort !"
"Harry ! Harry ! Harry !" The sounds of cheering surrounded the trio as everyone tried to reach the boy who defeated the Dark Lord, ending their misery once and for all and bringing justice to those who perished under his wrath.
Later that day, once everyone had calmed down, they all entered the school, arriving inside the Great Hall. Professor McGonagall, the Transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts as well as the Head of Gryffindor House, had replaced the House Tables to their original positions. Everybody wasn't sitting on their respective houses anymore, instead they were all jumbled up.
Where is he ? Hermione thought as she searched the four house tables, trying to find Draco. She, Harry and Ron had just returned from the Headmaster's office, which felt relieving as all was well again. She finally spotted him huddled between his parents in a corner of the Great Hall. Hermione wanted to approach him, hug him and share a kiss with him.
