          The next day, Draco awoke still thinking about the mysterious note he had received.

Who sent that note ? Draco had asked himself. Could it be my dad ? But how is that even possible ? He's stuck in Azkaban , unless of course he managed to escape ! But how ?! That place is loaded with Dementors ! Draco carried all these thoughts with him as he got ready for the day.

"Good morning Draco", Hermione greeted him once she saw him leave his bedroom. Draco; however; didn't respond to her greeting.
          
Typical of him. Hermione thought. Although he doesn't usually ignore my greetings. "Hey Draco !" Hermione said a bit louder this time. This caught Draco's attention.

"Oh hey Hermione", Draco said to her. Hermione gave him a small smile.

"You seem distracted. Are you ok ?"

"Um yeah !" Draco said, plastering a fake smile. "I'm gonna go now", he made his way to the portrait hall and left the common room.
          
Um...ok. That was a bit odd. Hermione thought. He usually doesn't even wear fake smiles. Oh well, better get to class now.

...........

"Hey Draco ! You okay ?!" Blaise asked his best friend as the four Slytherin friends gathered at their House table.

"Um yeah I am", Draco said, a little bit rushed.

"Are you sure love ?" Astoria asked. She went to her boyfriend and kissed his cheek. Then, she linked their arms together and they took their seats on their House table

"Yes I am Ria", Draco said, assuring her. "I just can't help thinking about that note I got yesterday",

"What note ?" Daphne asked, also taking her seat beside Blaise, who was sitting opposite them.

"It was a very mysterious note", Draco said, explaining. "It said 'Draco, meet me at the Shrieking Shack this weekend in Hogsmeade this weekend at 3 pm'",

"Who was it from ?" Blaise asked him.

"I have no idea. It wasn't signed",

"Ok, that's a little creepy", Daphne said. "But are you going to meet this mystery person ?"

"I don't know either", Draco said. "I'm still deciding. I think it could be something important. Or it was from my dad",

"Why would your dad want to meet you in Hogsmeade ? There's a ton of people there", Daphne said.

"Good point Daph, but the note said to go to the Shrieking Shack and hardly anyone goes there. Especially after they learned that Voldemort killed Snape there",

"Good point", Daphne said. "But if it isn't your father, who could it be ? Who would want to meet you ?"

"I don't know", Draco said, sighing. "It might be someone from the Ministry, but they would address me as Mr. Malfoy and they would sign the note",

"It could be your mother", Astoria put in.

"It isn't", Draco said blandly. "Mother's writing is very neat and she would always use scented parchments. She would also sign it",

"Maybe you should tell McGonagall ?" Blaise suggested. "Or tell your mum and ask for her advice",

"Good thinking Blaise", Draco said. "I'll write to her after class",

"What do you mean he's acting weird ?" Ginny asked Hermione from the other side of the Great Hall at the Gryffindor table.

"He was acting weird Gin", Hermione said. "He seemed distracted awhile ago, like he was thinking about something extremely important",

"Maybe it's about his relationship with Astoria", Ginny put in. "After all, they are dating",

"Maybe, but I think it was something extremely important. He didn't even respond when I greeted him 'good morning'",

"You're just being paranoid 'Mione", Ginny said. "Maybe you were wrong about your theory. It could just be him thinking about how to ask Astoria on a date or something",

"Fine", Hermione said, accepting defeat. "Let's get going. We're gonna be late for Charms", Hermione stood up from her seat, grabbed Ginny's arm and then dragged her to the Charms classroom.

Later that day.....

"There. All done", Draco said to himself once he was done writing his letter to Narcissa. He had thought about how to write it for the whole day and lucky for him, he only had three classes today. Just to be sure, Draco reread his letter one last time.
