Adrien's POV

"My Adri-kins is THE Chat Noir?! Or should I say... Adri-kitten?" Adrien cringed at the new nickname. He hoped that it wouldn't stick.

"Yep, it's me... You're not gonna tell anyone, are you?" He asked, hoping that he hadn't just made the worst mistake of his life. Now he understood why Ladybug wanted their identities kept secret.

"No... if you tell me all your secrets." She said, smiling slyly. Adrien should have known that she wouldn't let him off easily.

"Alright Chloe, you win. I'll answer any questions you have," he said, smiling weakly. He glanced nervously at his watch. It was 12:04.

"Ok then," She took a deep breath. "Who is Ladybug? How many people know who you are? Why didn't you tell me sooner? OMG are we in love now?! Does your dad know who you are? Does Ladybug know who you are? Can I have my miraculous back? Who are the other superheroes?" Chloe spoke quickly, hardly taking a breath until she had asked all her questions.

Adrien took a moment to process the onslaught of questions, then began to formulate a response. In the end, it was much slower than Chloe's barrage of questions.

"I don't know, just you and me, because that would put you in danger, you're just a friend, no, no, definitely not, and even I don't know that." Adrien sat back on his heels, content that he'd come up with the string of responses so easily.

"But didn't I do a good job with Style Queen? Without me, Ladybug would've lost her miraculous, and you'd be a glittery statue still. I think I did an amazing job!" She said, giving him baby doll eyes.

"You did great, Chloe. It's just that... you're not ready yet." He said, trying to convince her to drop the subject.

"I did, didn't I?" She said, looking satisfied with herself.

"Just for that, I think I'll walk you home, Adri-Chat." She drew out the Adri-Chat as if bragging about the secret she now possessed.

"Okay, Chlo. Lead the way." He said, putting on a fake smile.

She didn't seem to notice the poor excuse for a smile and immediately began to usher Adrien in the direction of his house, proudly striding ahead of him.

"Can I ask you a question now?" Adrien asked cautiously.

"Anything for you, Adri-kins." Chloe said, attempting to smile sweetly.

"Why were you following Chat Noir in the first place?"

"Well, I saw you and immediately thought, 'Hey! Chat Noir is always with Ladybug, and since I'm Ladybug's biggest fan, I'm sure she'll want to talk to me and eventually tell me who she is!', and so I followed you to the tower and then BOOM! I watched you turn into...you!" she giggled.

"Wow, that's... great," Adrien said. She definitely hadn't quite grasped how bad of a situation they were in.

The next day, Chloe insisted on taking Adrien to school, saying that he probably would need to stay with her at all times, since she was 'the only one who really understood him'.

Adrien hadn't put up much of a fight since he knew he wouldn't be able to say no to her.

As they walked into the classroom, Chloe suddenly tightened her grip on Adrien's arm, leaning her head on his shoulder.

She was pretending that they were together.

When Adrien and Chloe walked into the classroom, there were more than a few gasps, Marinette's mouth dropped open, and Chloe leered at her from Adrien's side.

"What's wrong, Mari-trash? Cat got your tongue?" She looked at Adrien for reinforcement for her less than clever cat pun.

"Chloe, that wasn't very nice," He said, giving her a disapproving look. A/N: Or funny

"Oh, come on, Adri-kins, you of all people should recognize a good cat pun." She whispered the last part.

At least she was sort of keeping her promise.

Adrien tried to send Marinette a look that said I'm sorry, but she was too busy blushing furiously to notice.

Marinette couldn't believe Chloe's nerve.

She thought that Chloe had at least learned not to be a mean person in front of Adrien. It seemed she'd thought wrong.

Chloe had embarrassed Marinette in front of Adrien, and now they could never get married, have kids, get a dog, or even a hamster!

Just as Marinette started to break down, Ms. Mendeleiev came into the room, telling the class to sit in their seats.

Chloe shot Marinette a triumphant look, then took her seat across from Adrien.

"Okay class, today we're going to be breaking up into groups of two for a project I have planned." She said, sitting at her desk.

Chloe started to look excited, waving her hand in the air.

Ms. Mendeleiev looked at her, then said, "I'll be choosing your partners for you."

Chloe looked upset, at which Ms. Mendeleiev started to read off names:

"The partners will be Ivan and Max, Alya and Juleka, Nathaniel and Mylene, Adrien and Marinette, Chloe and Nino, Sabrina and Kim, and Alix and Rose."

"Um, Ms. M, I don't think my daddy would like to hear that I got put with this moron," Chloe said, waving her phone threateningly.

"Dude!" Nino exclaimed.

"Chloe, I don't think your 'daddy' wants to hear any more of your complaints," Marinette said, proud of herself for coming up with that on the spot.

A number of their classmates laughed, save for Sabrina and Adrien.

"Ooh, burn," Nino said.

Chloe looked furious, then mumbled under her breath, "This is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!"

Everyone started to talk to their partners about their plans, and Adrien turned around to talk to Marinette.

"I know that Chloe was really mean back there, but there are nicer ways of dealing with her." He said, looking disappointed.

"S-sorry Adrien, I just got really upset. Anyway," Marinette said, quickly changing the subject, "um, w-where should we project for the meet? I-I mean meet for the p-project?" She said, mentally kicking herself.

"Well, I don't think my place would be great, so I thought that maybe we could meet at your house?" he looked at her hopefully, and she just about melted.

"Pure! I-I mean sure! How about right after school?" Marinette asked.

"After school sounds good. I'll see you then!" He smiled, walking away.

"Tikki," Marinette said, awestruck. "What am I gonna DO?! Adrien Agreste is coming to MY house after school, and I won't have any time to prepare!"

"It's okay Marinette, we'll just do our best to clean up before he gets there. Just have some faith and you'll be just fine!" The little kwami said, smiling.

"Okay Tikki, I'll try," She said, mind already ablaze with potential plans to win Adrien's heart.
