Marinette woke up in Adrien's bathroom. The door was firmly shut and locked. Apparently, he had taken her home. Hopefully, he had taken Ladybug and not Marinette. Hopefully, he hadn't figured out her secret identity.

Marinette got up, then winced as all the blood rushed to her head. She tried again, slower this time, and when she regained her wits, she transformed and made her way home.

When she got there, she quickly de-transformed and turned on her computer.

She glanced at the date, then did a double-take.

How did she miss 3 days?

Then she tried to think of the last thing she remembered.

It was Chat Noir handing her the rose.

She knew somehow that this couldn't be right, there was something else after that...

But what was it?

She decided to shrug off the strange feeling and turn on the news while she finished getting ready.

The screen blinked on, displaying Nadja Chamack in front of the school.

"-y no one was hurt, but I am here with principal Damocles, who says otherwise. Mr. Damocles?" The camera turned to the principal.

"It's strange, I don't recall any of the situation. In fact, the last thing I remember was from three days ago, as the students are telling me." He said, looking nervous.

"Thank you for your input, sir. Anything you'd like to tell everyone at home?" Nadja asked.

"Yes," He said, turning away from Nadja and looking into the camera "If you or someone you know has the same symptoms that I have just explained, take comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone. Ladybug and Chat Noir are sure to come out with information about this soon."

"Thank you again, Mr. Damocles. Now, back to-"

Marinette turned off the computer, shocked. What if she had forgotten something important?

"Tikki, what happened?" Marinette asked, looking at her kwami.

"Well, there was an akuma..." she started.

"And?"

"And, well... yourmemoriesgotwiped." She said, wincing.

"I got that much, but what happened? What did I forget?"

"What's the last thing you remember?"

"I remember Chat Noir giving me the rose and that's it. Everything after that is a blur."

"I see. Anything else?"

"I also remember... who Chat Noir is."

Tikki gasped. "You remember WHAT?!"

"Yeah... that kinda happened after my memories were wiped."

"Well, what do you think?!"

"I think I've been blind. All this time and I couldn't even recognize my own partner."

Marinette's alarm went off. She was going to be late for school- again!

She ran around her room, gathering all of her school supplies, then remembered just in time that she couldn't wear pajamas to school.

When she was finished, she bolted out the door to school. On the way, Tikki told her everything that had happened the past few days- for some reason, she wasn't affected by the memory wipe.

When Marinette got to school, she saw Adrien and ran inside and hid as quickly as she could. She just couldn't face him yet.

She needed more time.

The warning bell sounded, and Marinette rushed into class and into her seat.

Ms. Mendeleiev seemed upset today, sitting with her head down on her desk.

When the bell rang again, she mumbled something.

"Sorry Ms. Mendeleiev, what did you say?" Marinette asked cautiously.

She lifted her head up. "I said, 'please take your seats.'"

She stood up from her desk, walking around it to stand at the front of the room.

"I would like to apologize for my actions yesterday. They were not justified, and I am deeply sorry for any pain I have caused you."

Chloe sat up hopefully.

Ms. Mendeleiev glanced at her, then said, "However, I would still like you all to complete the project."

Chloe slumped down in her seat again.

"This time, I will let you all pick your partners."

Marinette raised her hand. "Ms. Mendeleiev, I think that it's only right that we complete it the original way. After all, it was our fault that we weren't focused and didn't take the activity seriously."

"Are you sure?" The teacher asked, looking hopeful.

"Positive," Adrien said.

"Well, only if you feel that way. Everyone, raise your hand if you would like to do the project the original way."

Everyone except Chloe raised their hand.

"Well then," she said, "since everyone is in agreement," Chloe scoffed, "you will do the project with your original partners."

The classroom rang with the students' cheers, and they all went to work.

Ms. Mendeleiev cleared her throat, "And!" we fell silent. "as today is Friday, I am willing to give you all the entire weekend to work on it!"

At this, work continued.

While he collected his thoughts, Adrien overheard Chloe talking to Nino as he moved over to sit next to her.

"Woah, so you don't remember anything from the past few days?" Nino said, looking surprised.

"No, the last thing I remember is going up to the Eiffel Tower the other night to see Chat Noir." She pouted. "Why, did something important happen? Other than the akuma, I mean."

"I don't think so. I guess you just got lucky."

Or maybe I did, Adrien thought, smiling to himself and turning around to talk to Marinette.

"So what do you think, Marinette? Same time, same place?" He smiled, and it was the real kind, the one that went to his eyes.

Marinette almost squealed.

"Of course!" He chuckled at her, and she smiled shyly.

Wow, I just formed a complete sentence around him! It must be because I know who he really is now...

"So, how are you? I heard you got your memories erased by the akuma." He said, trying and failing to mask how worried he was.

A/N: Lol, mask. I wasn't even trying to make that pun. Guess there's a bit of Chat in all of us

Marinette recognized that look- she'd seen Chat Noir give her the same one. He was truly worried about her.

"Well, you heard right. I did get hit- the last thing I remember is going to bed the night before the project." She said slowly.

"That's terrible..." He said.

Yes! Adrien thought, Now she won't remember the purr situation.

"Thanks for your concern, Adrien, but other than that, I'm perfectly fine."

Alya leaned over to whisper in Marinette's ear, "Other than the fact that you're forming complete sentences around him,"

Oops. She forgot that Alya was there.

Alya looked at Marinette questioningly as Adrien turned around so the girls could have a private conversation.

"It's nothing, I just thought about it and I realized I didn't need to be so worried!" Marinette said quickly, smiling.

"Uh-huh. Sure." She said. She didn't seem convinced at all.
