Expectations

They expect wide eyes through the way too bright sun
They expect marathons when I barely can run
I'm expected to comfort when I need it too
I'm given old when I'm begging for new
They want me to say I'm okay when I'm not
They think I should shoot when I don't have a shot
I'm expected to smile through the pains in my heart
But hey, I'm an actress
I can play any part
