Y/N's alarm sounded from her nightstand and she groaned, rolling over to turn off the ear piercing sound. There was no way that it was 6am already. It felt like she fell asleep a few minutes ago. Waiting until the last possible second, she jumped out of bed and threw on a pair of skinny jeans, a black t shirt that hugged her curves, and a pair of black classic Vans.

She walked into the bathroom, throwing on some foundation and a touch of mascara before running a comb through her hair. Glancing at herself one last time, she walked out the door, not wanting to be late for school.

She pulled her car into the usual spot and sighed when she saw who was parked next to. The baseball players. Classmates that she tried her best to avoid, especially this early in the morning.

Her eyes locked with a pair of blue ones as she got out of her car. He gave her a small smile and in return she rolled her eyes causing him to chuckle.

"Go to hell," she mumbled under her breath as she walked towards the school.

There were five minutes left until first period so she quickly walked to her locker and grabbed the books she needed for the morning. She slammed her locker shut and turned around to head to her class. As she rounded the corner she ran into someone wearing a blue varsity jacket, dropping her books to the floor.

"Fuck!" she cried, bending down to pick up her books.

"Whoa, calm down," a deep voice said from besides me.

Y/N looked over to see the blue eyes from earlier staring back at her. "I just don't want to be late," Y/N sighed.

"You'll be fine. You still have two minutes."

He scooped up her books and stood up, reaching his hand down to help her up.

"Thanks," she said, taking the books from him.

"I'll see you around."

Y/N shook her head, walking quickly to her class, surprised at her encounter with Scott Reed. One of the infamous baseball players. The baseball players were known for being assholes. They walked around like they owned the school and they expected everyone to bow down to them, which resulted in most of the students staying out of their way. Unlike her classmates, Y/N was not afraid to make it known that she didn't like them when she crossed paths with them.

The rest of the day went by uneventful. Y/N went to her classes, had lunch, went to a few more classes and when the final bell rang, she walked to her locker to put her books away for the weekend. Instead of immediately heading to her car, she sat in the cafeteria and waited for the parking lot to clear out before leaving. After messing around on her phone for a while, she headed towards the front doors.

"What are you still doing here Y/L/N?" someone called out from behind her.

Y/N spun around to see Scott a few steps behind her. His backpack was hanging off his right shoulder while he held a textbook in the other hand.

For the second time that day, Y/N rolled her eyes at him. "Just waiting for the parking lot to clear out. What are you still doing here?"

"Had to talk to Mr. Smith about my chemistry grade."

Y/N laughed. "What? Are you failing?"

Scott chuckled. "Almost. If I'm failing I can't play baseball."

"Sound's awful," Y/N replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"It is. Plus I know that you want to come see me play," Scott said, looking over at her.

"Wow! Aren't you a little cocky."

Together they walked into the warm spring air. The parking lot was practically empty except for a few cars. As soon as the bell rang for the weekend, her classmates were always quick to leave.

"You going to the party tonight?" Scott asked, changing the subject.

"Of course," Y/N answered.

Ashley Maine was known for throwing the biggest parties. Her parents had jobs that required them to travel for days at a time and she always threw parties when they were gone. Y/N and her friends always went and had the best time.

"Are you gonna get up on the counter and dance again?" Scott chuckled.

Y/N looked over at him, her eyes wide. "You saw?"

"Of course I saw. Along with everyone else."

Y/N came to a stop in front of her car, looking over at Scott, who was smiling at her.

"So I guess I'll see you tonight then," Scott said.

Y/N placed her backpack into the back seat before sitting down in the driver's seat. She watched as Scott walked to his car before she began to drive home.

Scott pulled up the infamous party house and parallel parked out front. The party was already in full effect. He could hear the loud music as he walked towards the house, stopping to say hi to few friends. When he entered the large house, the foyer was full of people. Most of them he knew but a few of them he didn't recognize.

His eyes darted to the dining room on the right, where a game of beer pong was already in full effect. The small white ball landed in the red cup and the girl who threw it began to jump up and down in celebration. She caught him looking at her and gave him a small smile before turning away.

A hand landed on his shoulder and he turned around to see his best friend, Zach Dempsey.

"You made it!" Zach said, handing Scott a beer.

Scott took a sip of the cold drink and continued to watch as Y/N focused on the game in front of her.

"Go talk to her dude," Zach said, noticing that he was watching her.

"Oh um, I don't know," Scott said, beginning to feel nervous.

"Dude she's hott."

Scott rolled his eyes at Zach's comment. The game ended with Y/N and her friend being the winners. She walked over to Scott, her hips swaying in her tight black dress.

"What's going on Reed?" she asked, walking past him.

Zach laughed before walking over to join the next game. Scott turned around and saw Y/N walk into the kitchen before deciding to follow. She was grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge and smiled when she saw Scott.

"Hey," Scott said, standing next to her.

"Hi," she replied, grabbing onto the counter for support.

"Fuck. How drunk are you?" Scott said, reaching his arm out to steady her.

"Not that drunk," Y/N lied. "Wanna go outside? I need some fresh air."

"Sure." Before heading outside, Scott grabbed a second bottle of water, knowing that Y/N would thank him later.
