Daddy Scott at the Beach (headcannon)

You and Scott had been best friends since elementary school

Sophomore year of high school the two of you became official boyfriend and girlfriend

The day after your senior graduation you found out that you were pregnant

You had been nervous to tell Scott but when you did he was excited

That December a baby girl was born and the two of you had never been happier

Now that your daughter, Kamryn, was three years old, Scott and you decided it was time to take a family vacation

It was easily decided that the Reed family would go to the beach

Kamryn had never been before so you were excited for her to see the ocean and sand

The second her bare feet touched the sand she began laughing looking up at you and Scott

"Do you like it, Kam?" Scott asked, bending down to touch the warm sand

"Yes!" Kamryn exclaimed.

"Let's check out the water," you said. "Kamryn, hold daddy's hand."

Kamryn's small hand fit into Scotts and the three of you walked down to the ocean

The water touched her toes and she laughed before running away from it

Scott chuckled, chasing after her, while you stood there laughing at them

Kamryn came to a stop next you, watching as Scott slowly walked into the water

"Daddy!" she called, her little arms reaching towards him

Scott turned around and waved to her before diving underneath the water

Kamryn giggled, watching as he emerged and began coming back to her

"Do you want to come out with me?" he asked the small girl

She nodded, her blue eyes lighting up

She placed her hand in his and they slowly began walking into the water

Once the water was up to her knees, they stopped and Scott began lifting her over the waves, the two of them laughing

Taking a moment for yourself, you walked back to your towel and sat down watching your daughter and boyfriend in the ocean

Once Kamryn grew tired of the water, she raced back to you and began to pull out a bucket and small shovel

"Hey babe," Scott said, giving you a small squeeze on the shoulder as he walked over to help Kamryn

They sat down in the sand in front of you and began to work on a sand castle

"You have to fill up the bucket with sand baby," Scott told Kamryn, while she watched him before mimicking him with her own bucket

Her blue eyes widened in amazement as Scott flipped over the bucket and slowly pulled it off, revealing the small tower

After a few tries, Kamryn made her own only to realize the she could easily knock it down

Once Kamryn was able to entertain herself, Scott moved to the towel where you were sitting

His hand moved to yours as he laced his fingers with yours

"I love you babe," he whispered, watching his daughter race to the water's edge to fill up her bucket

"I love you too," you replied, happy to have taken this vacation
