C L A R I S S E

I WAS SO WRONG WHEN
I said that I am going to make new friends, meet new people. So damn wrong.

It has been one hour since Aaron and Sebastian went to the business meeting in a conference room which is found inside the house. And one hour since I have been sitting here with the ladies that accompanied their friends or husband or partner. One hour since I have been staring at their faces, sometimes my mobile phone but neither of us are talking.

Some of the ladies are making really short conversation like,
"Hey" "Hi" "What's your name?" "Nina yours?" "Victoria" "Oh Ok".

Like why?

And some are taking pictures of themselves and posting it on social medias. some, eating.
Or some, like me, staring at others.

"Boring right?" I snap my head towards the voice. A woman sitting right next besides me, look at me and repeated, "So boring" I nod.

"What's your name?" She question me, and I hope this conversation does not turn like the others.

"Clarisse, and yours?" I reply, smiling so that she does not know I'm dying due to boredom.

"I'm Cara. I am here with my partner. Even my sister is here..." She pause, turning her head in all directions, "There she is, my sister Victoria" She says, pointing her index finger towards a brunette with long legs, and model-like girl. Cara call for her sister and, less than a minute, Victoria is already here, standing in all her glory.

"Vic, this is Clarisse." Victoria pause, looking at me, from head to toe. "Hello, I'm Victoria. Nice to meet you" She comes closer to me and gives me a little hug with kisses on both cheeks. Kisses that makes loud noises.

Uhg, annoying.

"I'm Clarisse, nice to meet you too!" Hey! Even I'm trying to stay formal and talk like business women.

She was about to say something else, but she chooses not to and stare at something or should I say, someone, behind me.

In less than a minute or two, a hand magically appears on my waist. I turn to look at Aaron who is already looking at me. He smile, one that does not reaches his eyes.

This made me realise that, I've never seen him smile... Wait, does he ever smile ? He smiles ?
Alright, another mission for me.

"Sebb!" Cara's loud voice broke my little bubble and makes me glare at her. But her attention is on someone else, not some random people or her partner but on, Sebastian.

I did not know, that they know each other? Of course, I don't because I just came here!
By came here, I mean, the mansion and this business party.

It's not even a party, to starts with! The person who organise this thing definitely sucks at it.

"Cara." Sebastian acknowledge her with a bitter tone. The tension is so high that I can even touch it. I glance at Aaron who is already staring at them.

Oh okay, so, he knows something.

"Did you come here to cheat on your partner, or find some other rich partner?" Sebastian says, his shoulders tense. Either they were dating and something happened or they know something that others do not know, and this caused them to drift apart ?

I sucks at being a detective.

Wait! He just said, 'find another rich partner'!

Now this has my full attention...

I'm damn sure, they were dating and Cara left him for someone else!

This is exactly what had happened.

"Uh, Seb! Come let's go and eat! I'm starving!" I grab Sebastian's arm and pull him with me but, he is still glaring at Cara.

"Sebastian" Aaron call for him, Sebastian gives Cara one more glare before coming along with us.

"This party sucks! I'm never ever coming here again!" I mutter, taking a plate and fills it with chicken wings and some other fries animals and vegetables.

Even the food sucks!

Not that, I don't like chicken wings, I do. In fact, I love them. But the boring atmosphere of this party made me turn into a zombie.

I can't even find pleasure in what I love eating!

Aaron fills his plate and take mine from my hands. I glare at him but he did not even mutter a word, let alone say an alphabet.
He just look at me with a soft smile and went to the tables which is now full. He places my plate next to him and pull out my chair. I gives him a ridiculous look but he did not say anything, instead he just stare at me and gesture at the chair.

Oh okay!

I gives him an small smile and sits on the chair, he did the same.
Not wasting any time, I started eating, focusing on my food.

"Not fair, bro!" Sebastian whine as he sits next to me, his plate filled with tons of chicken wings.
Both teriyaki chicken wings and the plain ones. And some vegetables salade.

"Bon appetite, baby" Aaron whispers in my ear. I smile, wanting to say the same thing, but, a mouthful of chicken prevent me from doing so.

Cara appears in front of us, her plate filled with only vegetables, and her sister, Victoria following her, her plate though; is like me. Both equal, some chicken wings and a few vegetables; Along with some other dishes that I did not see.

Apparently, either I was too focus on complaining how boring this party is. Or, I simply did not see them.

Both sisters sits on the chair in front of us. Sebastian groan but I places my hand on his thigh, he glare at me but continue eating his delicious and juicy wings.

"Bon appetite, Sebastian Darling"

I WANT BLACK COFFEE!
