Grace and Phillips Room

"Phillip we need to get this marriage over and done with" Grace explained, sitting on her desk admiring her beauty. She was beautiful, that's why Phillip married her.

Phillip however, was sat on the bed, his mind racing with the news of the marriage being excepted. "Dear, I know. But we can't force it even more than we already have. Our daughter is broken."

Grace rolled her eyes, laying her crown on her desk as she stared at it for a couple minutes. "Our daughter is weak if she's weeping about a marriage with one of the most powerful people in Narnia."

Phillip did love Gabrielle, and he did care for her well being. But he knew Grace was the one he cared for the most, and he knew he'd do what she wants even if it betrayed his daughter. "She's a human Grace, she doesn't want to marry, especially Edmund whom she cannot even stand."

Grace began getting furious at her husbands nonsense, as she believed in power, not love. "Well she is marrying, and I expect it done soon. So we can get back home and have what we need to take over Telmar."

Phillip nodded slowly, and sat up straighter in the large bed he was perched on. "Narnia is allies with Telmar too, Susan is in love with Caspian who's basically ruling Telmar at this time."

Grace sat back on her chair, and turned around facing her husbands defined face. "The Telmarines will take matters in their own hands if needs be, we just need to cause such a commotion that they betray their king."

Phillip spoke again, quieter this time, as his hair stuck up on his neck. "And how do we know The Pevensies won't choose to stand by Telmar?"

Grace furrowed her eyebrows. "Edmund will be married to Gabrielle, Susan is just bouncing around the bedroom with Caspain. That's why."

Hours later-

The Pevensie family, excluding Lucy, were sat in Susan's study room, which was gorgeously decorated with books, desks, a large table in the centre, and dimly lit with scented candles. Her favourite, lavender.

Peter was tapping his hands on the dark oak table slowly, him preparing himself for the upcoming outburst. "Edmund, we know you're already angry about the marriage-"

"Angry?" Edmund joked sarcastically. "Furious." His smile shot from his face, as he took a sip of whisky from his glass and stared at his older siblings infront of him.

"Nonetheless, this wedding is going to happen sooner or later." Susan carries on Peters sentence, as Peter seemed frozen into his seat.

"Hopefully later." Edmund daggered back swishing his whisky in his glass again clutching his jaw at what they have called him into here for.

Peter began slowly, edging his way to the big agreement they have made. "Well Grace and Phillip came to see us today and we made an agreement too-"

Susan rolled her eyes, slammed her book shut, making Edmunds whisky jump out of his jar and Peters words jump out of his mouth and right out the window.

"You're getting married tomorrow."

"IM WHAT?!?" Edmund couldn't believe the words coming out of his siblings mouths. It was all happening to quick. He's been engaged for only a couple hours and now they're making him marry tomorrow? Why?

Edmund stood up, angry and furious. He could feel the hatred in his veins, and nothing could stop him from snapping.

Peter saw it, Susan saw it. But they didn't expect this.

Edmund strongly started throwing Susan's books, his fists clenching after each throw. The books crinkled against the walls, as Susan stared in boredom. Peter staring in bewilderment. Edmund moves from the books, and punched a wall on his way round to the table, which was soon flipped and the candles blown out from the catastrophe.

"YOU FUCKING DICKS!! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU-" Edmund started screaming shouting, before taking one last look at the pair and walking out.

Susan and Peter looked at eachother before Peter sighed and handed out the lavender stone worth thousands out of his pocket. Slammed it into Susan's palm with a glare.

Susan smiled and glasped the stone and shrugged her shoulders. "I told you he'd flip."

Peter carries on. "You made it worse or else I would've won the bet-"

Edmund was stalking up the stairs to Gabrielle's room. Despite the plan for them to get married tomorrow he was in a rush for him to tell her.

He barely even liked this girl, but he thought maybe it was possibly a better idea for him to tell her, than her parents.

Whom he thought were way too comfortable with ruining their daughters life.

He could relate, but his siblings did care about him a lot. Throughout the years they have shown so much kindness towards him even when he was going down his darkest paths. Since day one, they will always be a family, even if they're pushing him into something that he wouldn't wish upon his worst enemy.

He was near Gabrielle's door, pacing slightly when he saw two very familiar faces in the shadows of the corridor. The paintings on the wall almost made it too hard to see through the black, but he made out the King and Queen of Avra.

Edmund, dressed roughly, carefully walked up to the two, as Grace turned around with a fearful look, but immediately softened her angry look with a kind smile. "Edmund, how nice to see you."

Edmunds jaw clenched at the odd atmosphere, on why the two would be here. Their room isn't for another couple corridors, and there'd be no need talking in such secrecy in a darkened corner of the castle. "Is Gabrielle in her room?"

The parents both threw on a saddened look, and Phillip even managed to squeeze out a couple tears. "No, we've been looking for her for hours-"

Edmunds brows furrowed confused, and his curiosity got the better on why they both seemed so upset. "Why? What's happened? Is she hurt?" He almost sounded concerned, but he knew it was more curiosity of wanting to know.

Phillip shook his head slowly, his crown barely noticeable beneath all the darkness. "We found this note, perched on her bed-"

Edmund snatched the note from his hand, crumpling the once straight paper as he turned away from the two, so he could get a bit of lights

Don't come after me,

I will not be returning.

I will not be marrying Edmund,

And I will not let you all push me into it.

- Your dearest daughter

Edmund was shocked at the letter, at how she seemed so upset beforehand and he just presumed she was anxious and annoyed that she was marrying him.

He wouldn't of thought she would've just left, ran away.

He almost did feel guilty, he should've stopped this marriage from spiralling out of control.

He should've helped her.

The sound of wheels screeching across damp concrete shook Gabrielle awake. She couldn't remember anything, she couldn't see anything but blackness. She was tied down to a hard surface, and her dress was cold against her skin. She rattled her arms as she started shouting, confused and scared.

Where was she?

Okay, this is a short af chapter, but what do you think has happened?

Edmund is kinda cute. Awh x
