Down in the deep, darkest corner of the dusty dungeon where light cannot penetrate rests a single human huddled within themselves in the far corner as far away from the gate as possible.  Spiders creeped along the cold, stone walls that lined the place. A closer look revealed sunken cheeks and a hollow body, resembling a skeleton rather than a human. The human could rival Snow White in regards to paleness. The door swung open with a loud bang and the human flinched in his corner, stuffing himself even further into his corner.

Loud thundering footsteps echoed across the floor, drawing nearer and nearer before finally stopping in front of the cell door. A rusty key shoved into the keyhole and twisted it, unlocking the cell door. A figure eases open the cell door, bends down to place a tray with a single loaf of bread and a bowl of cold soup. He glances at the corner where he spots wide fearful eyes, watching him. He backs off slightly at the sight, pauses, then with one quick glance back at the eyes, shuts the cell door, locks it again and shoves the key back into his pocket then quickly stalks off.

The boy watches the guard head back upstairs with the others, leaving him alone once more. He then lowered his gaze at the food at the foot of his cell door. Though his stomach growls, he doesn't move towards the tray. He shifts his gaze to the ceiling and leans his head back, eyes seeing but not truly seeing, mind reeling back, to when this all started.

"HUNIIIIIIIIIII" he ran down the steps, occasionally jumping some steps. He jumps the last step and tackles his sister with a crushing bear hug. Huni laughs breathlessly before returning the hug.

"Hey, been so long hasn't it" she says with a benign smile when they drew apart.

Obviously, 3 years with you gone, things have been silent. It didn't need to be said, the words hovered around, fluttering between them.

"Yeah, it sure has been" he tried, he really did try to smile and be happy for his sister but it doesn't come easy. It may never come at all. Huni leaves and he made to follow but he doesn't, he stops completely, staring at her back in the middle of a bustling throne room.

Its strange to feel so alone in a castle when there's people around but it does and its strange.

Someone taps on the shoulder and he wheels around to see a maid with kind eyes and a soft smile creasing her lips.

"Are you alright, young Prince" She asks with innocence its hard to believe.

He blinks,a ghost of a smile appears, and he nods

"I'm...." He stops, and thinks, before answering her.

"I'll be alright" he says instead, and the maid nods before going about her business. She pauses, turns back around, and looks him in the eye.

"I would like to advise you, young Prince: it doesn't matter what someone else accomplished, it will not do to dwell on it." and just like that she leaves him alone.

What the hell was that about?

Does she know about~

A crash above startled him, shaking him from his musing.

'What the hell happened'
