"She's alive, Stiles. I know you all think I'm crazy, but I can feel it."

Allison, that's all Stiles had heard about for weeks and weeks on end, now.
Lydia had been muttering things in her sleep originally, even screaming herself awake most nights. Stiles had been worried sick about her. Now the visions and voices were even clearer in her head. She had told Stiles everything, and she had told Scott most things. Neither believed her.
"Babe, Allison died. We were all there- you know that.." the adolescent teenager who was one of the only humans in a group full of supernatural creatures had grown to feel normal about all things weird and wonderful. The thought of someone coming back from the dead however, was not something he could believe.

It didn't matter how many times the strawberry blonde angel had tried to convince him otherwise, Stiles of course had felt responsible for the death of their beloved friend. It was him who once again found himself in an impossible situation, and ended up being the host for a legendary evil.
The boy would give his heart and soul for the huntress to actually be alive, but it was impossible. He knew that.
If it hadn't been for Stiles' vulnerability, the specific attack that killed the girl wouldn't have even happened. So the boy had felt the gut wrenching guilt ever since.

"I don't know what to do, Scott. I want to believe her, she's my girlfriend... but we both know it can't be true! You were there, you held her. You listened to her heart sto-"
Ironically, he was stopped mid sentence, mid word, by the one and only Scott McCall.
"Yeah. I know, Stiles. You don't need to refresh my memory, buddy, I'm pretty sure it's imbedded in my brain." Was the Alpha's sarcastic, yet realistically snappy reply to Stiles' rambling.
"Sorry, pal.." the clumsy teenager then realised how insensitive he must have sounded, his bestfriend had been the one to receive Allison's very last words. He didn't need to remind him of that.
"Look, I'll talk to Lydia, okay?" Scott replied, however the blunt tone in his voice indicated that he didn't really want to do so.
Although it seemed like a good idea, Stiles declined the offer, he didn't want Lydia to know he'd been speaking to Scott about this. His girlfriend was clearly struggling with her powers, he needed to be there for her, instead of chatting to his bestfriend about the sensitive subject.

Changing the subject seemed like the only reasonable thing to do at that point, you could quite literally slice a knife through the tension now, so the boy brought up the dance at the school.
Stiles had taken a year out of his FBI apprenticeship to do necessary work experience at his dads station, and Scott had finished college for a gap year, the two had offered to help out at their old beloved school with their upcoming events.
The two, plus Malia, had been helping Coach Bobby organise the annual school dance, although Coach's idea's were absolutely dreadful, so the trio had ended up doing most of the work. They had only a couple of days to finish planning things, and they were nowhere near done.

Pushing open the iconic double doors at the front of the school, revealing the empty, and extremely familiar corridor filled with students lockers, the two couldn't help but feel at home.
"Alright so, what lesson is he in?" Scott said, breaking the deadly silence between the two boys.
They had been given permission to get Liam Dunbar out of his lesson so he could help them with planning on what to do with the hall, which the dance would be held in.
"I think they said chemistry." Replied Stiles, as he scanned the doors as the two walked past them. They'd previously asked at the desk about which room number Scott's Beta was in, but neither of them really payed too much attention, as usual.
"This one!" He then promptly said, almost skidding to a halt in front of Scott, causing the alpha to crash into him, nearly tackling the smaller male to the floor.

"Liam, are you even listening to me?" Corey's voice brought the young beta's recognition back to reality, he had nearly fallen asleep again.
"Huh? Oh- yeah, of course I am." He lied, quite noticeably.
The look on his friend's face absolutely screamed that he wasn't amused slightly by this.
Liam had been up literally all night, Hayden had recently got back in touch with him. Causing him to be up all night engaging in conversation with the ex-chimera. It would make sense for them to get back together, they were a good match, even his friends thought so. Something had always been missing with her before, and the boy could never understand what. She deserved a second change though, right?
Hold that thought, he immediately told himself, because two extremely familiar faces poked up in the doors window to his class. God, they're so embarrassing.
Stiles had his tongue out and Scott had pressed his face up against the glass to get the boy's attention.
Scrambling desperately to his feet, Liam threw his bag over his shoulder and left Corey's side, leaving the chimera even more pissed off than before.

"Guys- stop !" Liam snapped out, as he pushed his way through the classroom door, barging the two idiots out of view of everyone else in the process.
"C'mon, that was funny!" It was Stiles who obviously spoke first, Scott was still snickering to himself behind both of them.
"Ugh" Liam exclaimed, making his annoyance at the two very clear to see.
"So, how're things with Hayden?" Scott then asked, instantly receiving a very dramatic eye roll from the other boy.
Oh, great. The beta was hoping to avoid this today, but he made the stupid mistake of telling Scott about it a few days ago, something he now had regrets about.
"Uh, fine! I think she's coming back in a few weeks." Liam stated, although he tried to sound happy about it, all three of them knew that wasn't the case, so nothing else was said about the situation.

The hall hadn't changed one bit, surprisingly, the smell of it triggered memories in Scott and Stiles' brain. Even those they'd tried to bury deep, such as Scott's first dance with Allison. Lydia's dance with stiles, even the night Peter had chased the two, desperate to recruit Scott into his none existent pack.
Both Stiles and Scott briefly shared a short smile, before turning their attention back to the blank canvas they were about to decorate.
