To be separated from a loved one is something quite tough.
It tears you apart and makes you feel like you are not enough.
You think about things that make you upset,
And you begin to think of her friends as a threat.
You try to calm yourself by reassuring yourself,
But you just can't seem to put it on a shelf.
You get so paranoid that tears start flowing,
What goes on without you is just so unknowing.
As your pillow dampens, you begin to assess,
And your tears are no longer because of distress.
The memories you have and what is yet to come,
Reminds you of what you had both come from.
You are filled with happiness that cannot be measured,
And you think about ideas that will always be treasured.
As your tears finally begin to dry,
It's as if a light is shone through the sky.
She is finally back, and finally with you,
And she questions your tears and what you went through.
You sit there and smile as if nothing is wrong,
And you tell her about a love that will be lifelong.
She cries and cries and says she feels the same,
As you tell her about the sadness you just overcame.
You both lie there staring into each other's eyes,
And cannot believe that you will be with each other for the rest of your lives.
