Sonder's a word that not many people know,
Even I myself did not know until moments ago.
It is a word about life, a word about meaning,
But not in the way that you're most likely dreaming.
Sonder's a word that describes a certain emotion,
That someone feels while their brain is in motion.
A description of thinking of another human being,
As if they were somehow experiencing what you are seeing.
Sonder's a word that evokes deeper thought,
About the ones around you and what they have sought.
It makes you realize that every other person around you,
Is experiencing the same complex and vivid life as you do.
Sonder's a word that explains realizations,
Without needing any communication.
Another's life may not be identical to your own,
But it is just as tangled as the life that you are shown.
