I was leaning up against my room's wall while sitting on my berth. My peds carefully tucked underneath me, and a yellow and black helm on my lap, allowing me to stroke his helm.
"I'm sorry Az. I had no idea..." Bee beeped nuzzling his helm against my intake.
"It's not your fault, Lil Bee." I said foundly to him, he looked up at me.
"But taking care of me everyday, must have been a painful reminder..." He wraps his arms around me hugging me, nuzzling his helm into my intake as if he were still a sparkling.
"No, Lil Bee. It was wonderful watching over you. It was like you were my own sparkling." I said raising him up and hugging him, I softly cradled his helm against my neck cables as it seemed he was about to cry.
"Is that why back on Cybertron, you wanted me to keep that kind of promise?" Bee asked pulling away and looking at me as a tear slipped down his face plate. I nodded catching the tear with a digit and whipped it away.
"Did you both get a mark that states you promised each other to be sparkmates?" Bee asked looking at me as I cradled his helm in my servos.
"Yes, Lil Bee..." I said as I whipped a few more tears off his cheek plates.
"Can I see it?" Bee asked. I slowly nodded before looking down at my chassis and cracking my spark chamber open slightly to show a symbol on my chassis plating.
"How does that work?" Bee asked curiously as I closed my chamber again.

"They use a sort of paint that even if it's painted over you can still see it when you crack open you spark chamber. Only your spark chamber can make it glow and the other bot with the promise mark. It doesn't go away until one of you dies, or you become sparkmates. But if you become sparkmates with someone else, and they get sparked." I rub the symbol cringing at the thought of that horrible pain, shaking my helm I look at Bee.
"So you felt all of it in a way?" Bee asked tilted his helm seeming more calm now.
"Yes, in a very painful way." I said with a sad smile.
"Have you ever done any of that?" Bee asked concerned.
"No." I said slowly looking away.
"Okay." He beeped softly laying his helm back on my lap again.
