After Azles’ words she had passed out and Optimus swiftly took her to her brethroom and left to go talk to Ratchet. Arcee stood talking to Jack as Bulkhead and a few others went out on patrol. Dark and silent the based seemed. The soft creaking of pipes throughout the base was the loudest noise, echoing and bouncing off each corner and wall the sound waves came in contact with.

In the medbay Ratchet's digits clicking across his keyboard was the loudest sound, the kids layed on the couch not interested in much.

No one could hear the chuff down the hallways or the soft clicking of killer's peds.

The rest of the Autobots arrived back in base Optimus looking at Ratchet.

“How's Azles?” He asked him. Ratchet looked up confused.

“I haven't checked on her since you all left.” He stated confused. Optimus looked towards Arcee who instantly responded.

“Haven't either Optimus, I thought it best to leave her to rest.”

Everyone was leaving through the ground bridge as Optimus stood behind.

Optimus deleted the coordinates from each escaping autobot. He looked up, he was expecting his fate, staying behind to save his family. He looked towards the ground bridge if this were the end for him, he'd fight through this. He looked up as the searing pain of the heat licked his frame. He grunted falling unconscious with debris all around him in one finally attempt he reached his servo up as if asking for help only to be dragged into darkness where he could no longer feel.
