It was Sunday and for a winter day it was pretty sunny so we decided to take a walk.
What a nice day!- Said Jonnhy looking at the sun smiling.
Yes indeed!- I said grabbing his arm as we started walking.
We decided to go to the park near the river because a lot of times ducks came to eat there, and of course I couldn't say no to watch little animals eat.
Do you think you'll be lucky?- I said hoping for a positive answer.
Of course! I mean... Why not?- He said trying he's best.
We walked along the river bend, as we talked about life. Who am I kidding? No. We talked about trivial stuff as he said a lot of jokes.. dad jokes.
Hey! What do you call a fish with a tie?- He said waiting for an answer.
What?- I said waiting to turn around and leave.
soFISHticated.- He said proud of himself.
Jonnhy I'm leaving. Bye.- I said tired.
No wait! Please it was the last one I promise!- He said pulling my jacket.
We walked a bit more until a saw them.
LOOK JONNHY DUCKS!- I said running like a little kid towards them.
BE CAREFUL YOU'LL SCARE THEM!- He said loudly.
You are right!- I said changing my walking technique.
I approached them slowly. They were beautiful.
Oh no! We forgot the bread! What are we going to do now!- I said disappointed.
He hold me hard trying to erase my disappointment. His arms were almost as big has me. I could be between them all day long...
Do you mind if I go just a second?- Jonnhy said.
No, that's okay- I said smiling.
I sat on a bench and grab my notebook. I draw the ducks as they seemed so happy together. There were a few babies, I couldn't help but draw them, they were too cute.
Jonnhy was taking too long I started to worry. He didn't even say we're he went...
I finish my drawing and picked my phone to call him.
*ringtone*
What!?- I said
He was a few feet in front of me. With his camera.
What are you doing?- I said as I didn't understand what was going on.
Sorry you are too cute I needed to capture that.- He said putting down his camera.
You were taking pictures of me?! You know I don't like...- I said annoyed.
I don't care. I need to remember this.- He said patting my head.
He said with me in the bench. I put my head on his shoulders. He was so tall... I felt so comfortable with him by my side.
Oh and by the way I want to buy this- He said taking a long bread from his bag pack.
I... I just....thank you.- blushed as I pulled the bread in thinny pieces.
You're welcome- he said kissing my forehead and winking his eye.
I wished all Sundays could be like this....He was just everything I needed.
