"There's just somethings I can't explain Mashawn." I yelled in frustration as he looked at me with teary eyes down on one knee.
We've been going at it for awhile now, and I just don't know how he'll take this information
"Baby, I'm sure whatever it is it'll never change the way I feel about you." He spoke softly
One thing I love about him, he always has the soft spot for his love ones. No matter what.
I shook my head, no. "Mashawn just drop it." I got up from my chair and into the kitchen
"No, I understand you don't want to tell me. But don't be all around Mauri like shit cool and be in my face ignoring me. Lisa you know I don't like that shit." He followed me, now his eyes were hazel. One feature only me and Mauri would only be able to see
"It's different, Mauri gets it. You might not." I shrugged my shoulders
He yelled in annoyance, "Monea just let me in for once in your life. Put some shit on me. Lemme be your peace baby. I'm not like ya father, I want to be here, baby girl I am here." He cried out. Something he rarely ever does
I sat down on the stool that stood in the middle of the kitchen.
"Please." He added, looking down. I had a feeling he was about to walk out
"Okay, you might wanna take a seat." I spoke softly
He looked up at me and nodded
He sat at a bar stool
- Meeting with Dad - "Hey my beautiful baby girl. How's it going." Larry spoke to his Daughter as she sat down in the booth in Applebee's
Monea just nodded
The two just sat in silence. Meanwhile Larry was trying to get his thoughts together before he tell his daughter the real reason he left.
Monea just was ready to hear what he said and leave.
"Hi, I'm Candice. I start you guys off with some drinks?" The waitress walked over, feeling the tension at their table.
"And you guys look exactly alike." Candice smirked
Monea mugged her, "I would like a water please."
"I'm okay, can you come back later for food through. We're going to be a while."
Candice nodded and walked away going to fix her water.
"When you were little, I was mad fucked up the head." Larry spoke never taking his eyes off his daughter
"I repeatedly cheated on your mother with other women. The police woman thing was intimidating to me. So I took my anger out of you." He took a pause, because Candice was coming back
