"What the heck is this?" Ajay yelled running over lifting Omkara off my lap , hitting him up against the wall. "Give me a dam reason why I shouldn't let them to kill you right now!" He said choking him.
Omkara couldn't couldn't breath to the point where his face was turning blue.
"Ajay please! Please ! Please stop ! I'll do anything, please , just let him go! Please !" I ran over begging on his back to let him go. Reluctantly, he let go of Omkara , who fell back ,
"What the hell wrong with you?! He has a concussion and gravely , what you just did is not helping" I said walking over to where Omkara's head was resting on the floor , I put his head back on my lap and rewrapping it with sleeve of my dress .
"You said , you'll do anything?" He said with mischievousness in his voice .
"What you do want?" I asked .
"I just want marry my beautiful fiancée" he said putting out his hand for me to take .
"Please , I rather be burned to death then become your wife" I said .
"Fine , be that way but don't be suprise If your beloved peasant is dead in next 24 hours" he said turning away leaving the cell .
"No! Wait ! I...I'll will do it , if you get Omkara proper medical attention he needs" I said.
"You have gotta be kidding me" he said
"Do I look like that ? Punish me but not him , leave him out of it" Omkara began coughing and his face is turning red.
"Please ajay , just do this for me , and I will keep my end of the bargain" I pleaded.
He was quite silent for sometime until he open his mouth again .
"Fine , But If I found out that you're seeing him again , he won't be the one who will get punished" he said looking at me with fiery stare.
"Guards" he yelled and two muscular guards appeared next to him.
"Take this man up to castle infirmary and get him the proper care and food" he said .
The guards made their way to Omkara and lift him up with force.
"Please be gentle" I told the guards.
After they left the cellar , ajay continue to talk .
"If I were you , I would go and start making plan for our wedding" he said with a smile and walked off.
I never felt this much disgusted in my whole life but the having the thoughts that I have to marry this scoundrel making my stomach ache , but if it's means to save omkara's life then I'll do it .
On my way back to my chamber , my thoughts kept drifting back to Omkara ,
The way he used to hold me , the way he always made me feel safe , our first kiss ...all of it is like a wonderful dream for me . I walked back to my Chamber with a drowsy feeling coming over me . Once I was in my chamber , I walked over my desk and took a seat. I gripped my stomach with an unsettled feeling rising up from my throat. Just then my door was opened and my mother walked in.
"I hope you know that , Ajay is way too kind for you Gauri" walking over she knelt infront of me.
"What you did was mortally wrong , having to sneak down and see that young man was far beyond you" she said something else but it was drowned by the sound of me vomiting and the sound of my body dropping on the floor.
When I woke up , I saw my dad and mom is hovering over me , with one of the maids putting a cool compress to my head.
"What happened" I asked .
"Gauri , you vomited then soon after , you fainted" she said .
"Oh , it must of because I haven't eaten anything in awhile , I've been starving for quite sometime"
"I don't think so" my father said .
"What you mean?" I asked .
"We think you're Carrying" my mother suggested.
"That absurd!" I said trying to sit up ,but was pushed down by mother's hand .
"Beta, it's only makes sense. The vomit, the fainting and while you're resting you're burning up and just now said you're hungry"
"So? That doesn't mean anything! I could just be sick you know"
"What about you rest and when you wake up , we will talk about it" she said but it felt like she going to say something else .
"What is it , mother?" I asked
"Nothing...it's just that
"Who the hell , is the bloody father" my father asked in outrage.
"No Tej , you need to calm down" my mother said trying to get control under my father.
"Don't tell me to calm down Jhanvi! , how can you expect me to calm down" he said .
"Cause we still don't know , Gauri is pregnant or not, it's not confirmed yet"
"You're right we dont" turning his back , talking down to me .
"Until we are sure , you're carrying a child and the next possible heir to this royal family ,you're needed to stay in one of the spare rooms which is not connected to any secret passage ways. Do you understand?"
"Yes father , I do"
I have never seen my father with such disgust in his eyes to the point I just want to hide .
"Anika, may you please escort our daughter to one of the spare room and have others to bring up her clothes and whatever that's she needs for the rest of the week" my father said giving instruction to the maid .
"Yes your majesty" with utter care she helped me out of the bed and out of the room , straight to the spare room .
She set me down on the bed , tucking me in.
Before she left , I asked . "Do you think I'm carrying a child?
I'm not a doctor , so I really can't say anything but I have 2 children and I still remember the day and what it felt like to be carrying them. So if I had to say yes , then yes princess , if I'm not wrong you're about a week or two in your pregnancy.
And with that being her last sets of words , she left .
I turned my head over and tears starts to fall down my cheeks unto my pillow . It's not the thoughts of being pregnant is scares me , but the it's the thoughts of what my parents , especially Ajay would do when they find out who the father might be .
"Oh god , Omkara , what do I do now"
