Chapter 10

The next day , went by fast in a blink of eye , from the wedding planning to my constant fear for Omkara . Ajay did a well job , hiding him away from castle . I even asked Anika , she doesn't even know where he is either . "It's like he is disappear into thin air" I remember her saying . I even try to eavesdropping on ajay's conversation to find out information but it never worked . He would either shut down the down when he notice me or walked away. Now it's too late , now I'm getting ready to walking down aisle to my worsted nightmare .

"Sit still Gauri , you're messing your hair" my mother said ,pulling my head back into place .
I mumbled an "okey" and began to push those thoughts and memories to the back of my head.

"Alright , now the only thing left is your dress" my mother said, going into the other room to get it.
I looked in the mirror to see the master piece , my mother performed on me .
I had to admit , I looked beautiful .
"It's time for the dress" she said .

"Gauri , you look beautiful" my mother said , guiding me towards mirror . I was stunned actually to see the infront of the mirror is me . The dress was absolutely stunning.

"Nervous ? You've been nervous since past 3 days?" she asked sceptically.

"Thanks" is what all I could say , I don't really feel like talking .
It's felt there is no point , even for living knowing Omkara won't even exist in my world.
It's was a shocker that my parents were so dense , I don't even believe that they know that Omkara going to be hanged at the wedding.
"You've been extremely quite, what happen?"
My mother asked snapping back my focus at present.
"It's nothing , I'm just being nervous" I said .
"Gauri" she called me softly.
"Yes"
"Gauri , I would like it if I get more than one worded answer from you" she said .
"It's too late mum , it's too late"

"Can you for heaven sake , tell me what is the matter Gauri! Today is your wedding and it's suppose to be the happiest day in your life but here looking at you , I don't feel you are"
And this is where i snapped back and yelled at her .
"This so called happy day is a freaking nightmare! I'm being married to an abusing scoundrel ! Father and you just don't care ! You guys just too dense to notice it ! Cause all you care about is what other people will think and what is right for the kingdom! And ...and my happiness doesn't even matter for you both ! Not even a slight ! And I'm pretty sure that you both even know that someone is going to be hanged during the the so-called wedding !
I calmed down and began to breath in and out.

"What did you just said? Why don't you tell us earlier? She asked .

"Because it wouldn't make a difference mom ,either way you would still punish Omkara"

"You really love him, don't you ? My mom said .
"I can't even imagine my world without him mom" I told her.

"What did you said about hanging?" She asked .
"Ajay want him to be hanged , during our wedding later to teach me lesson" my voice craked.

"Well neither your father and I granted him the power to do that and no way in hell that he is going to hurt you anymore. I'm sorry my love that I couldn't see it sooner" She said coming toward me ,giving me a hug , I reciprocate.
"Don't worry Gauri , this is going to end" she said patting my back repeatedly.
We were interrupted by the knock at the door .
"Is everyone decent ?" My father asked coming into view .

"Yes" my mom answered wiping her tears .
"Gauri , you look beautiful" he said coming over and patting my cheeks . I swore I saw a tear roll down his cheeks .
"Come , lets go we wouldn't want you to late for your own wedding" he said giving me his elbow .
I looked at my mother.
"Don't worry keep calm and say what you really want to say" she said with a wink .
I didn't get it at first , because there was no time to think about as my father pulled me out of the room and down to the hallway .
Coming to the downstairs , into the lobby the guards opens up the door that led back and the orchestra began to play .

As my father and I began to walk down the aisle , everyone stood. I have to admit my mother did a wonderful job , arranging for the wedding .
At the alter , ajay was dressed in appropriate attire with a sword at his side .
I looked everywhere for Omkara but he was nowhere in the sight .
"Who gives this woman in holy matrimony to this man??" The priest asked once we made it to the alter.
"I do" my father announced and he kissed my forehead , then he took a seat next to my mother.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God to join this man, and this woman in holy matrimony. Not to be entered into lightly, holy matrimony should be entered into solemnly and with reverence and honor. Into this holy agreement these two persons come together to be joined. If any person here can show cause why these two people should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.
The priest said .

It was pin drop silence and I could see a smirk on ajay's face .

Marriage is a sacred union between husband and wife and shall remain unbroken. It is the basis of a stable and loving relationship and is a joining of two hearts, bodies and souls. The husband and wife are there to support one another and provide love and care in times of joy and times of adversity.

We are all here today to witness the joining in wedded bliss of (Ajay) and (Gauri.) This joyous day celebrates the commitment and love with which (Ajay) and (Gauri) start their lives together. Through God, you are joined together in the most holy of bonds.

"May I have the ring?" The priest asked .
"Here you are , father" ajay said handing over the ring to him.

All of sudden , we heard a muffled sound coming from the forest behind us . I looked up at ajay , he gave me his sinister smile .
The sound was so close enough to hear the crinkling of wood , they were putting Omkara in hanger !
