I get down from my bed and about to go to washroom, I suddenly felt like something trickle down my leg.
Omkara gaze down towards my leg.
"Gauri , I think you're leaking" Omkara said .
"I guess I should go to - ouchhhhh" I felt a sharp pain hit below my stomach , like a thousand bullets.
I couldn't breath and it's was getting harder and harder to stand up .
"Gauri , I think you're going into labour" Omkara were panicking.
"No I'm not! This baby not due for another week" I yelled out in pain once more .
"Gauri!" Omkara in an instance was by my side , helping me up .
"We have to get you to the medical room fast" he said .
"No! I refuse to have this baby now - ahhhh" I clenched onto his hand and squeezed as tightly as I could.
"Ouchhh, Okay that's hurts Gauri , I refuse to stand here and watch you writhe in pain. I'll carry you if I have too" he said .
"I dare you" sweat was trickling down my face , oh god ! Damn it ! This is the worst pain I have ever been.
"Fine ! Since you're ask for it" Omkara said picking me up in bridal style .
"Are you crazy Om? I'll crush you ! Just look at how heavy I am! Besides the room is one floor above us!" I almost screamed at him .
"I guess I'll have to run then" he ran down the hall but bump with Anika .
"Anika get gauri's parents and tell them she went to labour" he didn't stay to hear what she was going to say because before I know we were halfway up a flight of stairs.
"Make it stop" about 22 hours later I was drenched in sweat and I was tangled in sheets with bloods everywhere.
There were no words to describe the excruciating pain I was going through ,for heaven sake excruciating was even not the correct for to describe.
"Gauri , you have to breathe" my mother between my leg.
Easy for her to say , it's not her who is doing this !
There were only my mother , Anika , the doctor , Omkara and my father in the room. My father fainted and now is sitting in a chair , in the corner.
"Princess , you have to breathe , count 10 and then breathe" the doctor said .
I did what the doctor told and squeezed onto omkara's hand as I felt another contraction coming .
"Shhh, it's going to be okay jaan" Omkara soothed , pulling away my hair from my face.
"Shut up! Shut up Omkara ! You did this to me and for crying out , you weren't here for the rest of pregnancy, you were so busy with father learning !you left me all alone ! So shut up!" I yelled , everyone seems to taken aback with my outburst , especially Omkara but I didn't care . I just want the baby out of me now , really now .
"Why is it taking so long" I panted between breathes .
"The centimetres opened is not large enough, maybe it will take another one hour" the doctor said .
"What ! Another one hour?"oh god , I'm going to die . I could feel my heart speeding up ,
Like it was getting ready to fly out my chest , my eyes were getting blurry and I was so dry and thirsty. I wanted to shut my eyes , I'm tired , all
I wanted to do is sleep.
"Gauri , Gauri" someone was shaking me awake but I didn't know who .
"Gauri , don't fall asleep" suddenly I felt something cold on my face that woke up me a little bit . I look beside me to see omkara with another ice cube in his hand.
"What's the hell, that's for?" My voice barely audible.
"So you won't fall asleep, you can't fall asleep , it's almost over Gauri , I promise" he said stroking my head.
"He's right , it's time to push" someone yelled , I assume it was the doctor .
"Gauri , you have to sit up and push" my mother was by my side , helping me sit up on my pillow .
"Gauri , I want you to count 10 and push" doctor said.
"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, push" I push with everything in me, almost blowing in vein.
"Don't forget to breath" my mother said beside me , I let out a shaking breathe and began to count 10
again.
"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, push" one more push Gauri , i can see the head"
Too bad I can't see the person delivering my baby over my legs.
"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, push!"
I pushed again and the room was filled with a baby's cry. I sunk back into bed , letting out a breathe. Finally I could breathe , I thought I was but I was too exhausted.
"It's a girl" Anika yelled in excitement but right now all I want to do I sleep.
"Gauri wake up" Omkara kept shaking me and I could feel another ice cube on my face but this time it won't wake me up .My eyes slowly shut and the last thing I heard was the sound of my baby girl crying .
