"Which white dress you prefer?" My mother asked , holding up 2 extravagant white dresses.
"Does my choice really matter mom? Either One is fine" I said looking away , not caring about the wedding right now .
It's has been almost 2 weeks since I have found out that I was pregnant , its has been two weeks since the last I saw him , and it's has been two weeks since ajay has found out about the baby and certainly wasn't happy about it . I can still hear him yelling about calling me with names and with vulgar words , well he doesn't know that I don't give a damn about it , as this baby and the baby's father is matter the most to me, in-fact more than anything.
"Gauri , you could attention, try to pay attention" my mother said snapping my head back to focus .
"I'm sorry mother , I just don't feel well" I said putting my hand over my belly.
"I understand, Alright I'll comeback another time , but soon we have to pick up the dress as your wedding is within this week and we are way too far behind"she said .
"I know , I understand mother" with a nod , my mother put down the dresses and walked out of my room. I'm still not able to sleep in the comfort of my own room, walking over I picked up one of the dresses and held it up to myself in the mirror .
The dress is wonderful, everything is wonderful, but the fact that I won't be standing next to Omkara as I walk down the aisle , gave my heart immense pain.
A knock on my door , interrupts my thoughts.
"Princess , it's time for your lunch" Anika said setting up the plate of food down on my bed. So , far through out of thing whole thing Anika has been there for me , she has brought me the food , sat down with me and told me what to expect during my pregnancy and most of all , she had been telling me on how Omkara is doing .
"He has been well , he look more healthy" she told me taking the dress and hanging it up.
"I gave him the note that you gave me . When he found that you're with child , it's brought joys to his ears , his eyes tears up and I could see it falling .
He says that if he could , he would have holding your hand through it all"
My heart ache at sound of that. At first , I thought he would be upset knowing that I'm marrying ajay and yet carrying his child but somehow he understood that I was doing it out of protection and for the sake of our child and him.
"Stop stressing, it's not good for the baby" Anika said guiding me toward the warm soup, cookies , water and bread that she had lay out for me.
"Oh Anika , I cant help it . If I only could see him once, just once . It would only relieve the stress and have something else to think about than that stupid wedding" i said out of frustration.
"Hmmm...maybe I could help you with that" she told me.
"But how Anika? I'm surrounded by the guards , I can't even use washroom without being followed in by someone.
"Don't worry about it ,just leave it to me" she said while push the meal infront of me , patted my hand and left the room. I don't know what she is up to but if it means that I will get to see omkara then I don't mind what the cost is.
I was woken up in the middle of the night , to someone shaking me awake .
"Gauri ...wake up" when I open my eyes Omkara came into view.
"Om" I jumped out of the bed and landed into his arms.
"How did you , get in here, guards are ifront of my door" I asked him , pulling away .
"It's was Anika , she tricked the guards into thinking someone vandalised the castle outside and snuck in through the cellar" he said.
"I honestly doesn't care Om,I'm just so glad to see you, the last weeks has been torture not being to know if you're okay"
"Don't cry" he said wiping a tear from my cheek, taking me into bone crushing hug. He whispered "I know,I know , I understand not being able to hold you like this always , it's a torture too jaan" he said stroking my hair .
"So how is everything with our baby?" Is she behaving well ?
She ? I asked .
"Yeah she , my daughter" he said while placing his hand on my belly .
"I thought it's a boy , just like you , with long shiny black hair" I said.
"No , i know it's a girl, with beautiful amber eyes ; just like you" he put his hand on the side of the stomach and bent down .
"Be a good girl princess , behave and don't trouble mama, papa loves you so much" he said while placing a kiss on my belly .
My tears drops while watching this .
He wipes my tears again and kissed my forehead .
"So how are you Gauri?" He asked softly .
"Great , Anika said I'm healthy" i said smiling up to him .I lied coz I doesn't want to upset him.
"That's good , I don't want you stressing" he said winking.
"I was worried and you can't blame me for that" I said .
"No jaan, I can't but still it's not good for the baby and for you too"
He said while placing his hand on my cheeks .
"You make me so happy" I told him.
"Gauri ... words can't express , how much you make me happy" he said .
"I missed you so much Omkara" I said while wrapping my arms around him.
"Me too jaan , me too" he said reciprocated my hug.
"How much longer you can stay"
"Not much longer , I have to get back into the infirmary" he said .
"Can't we stay like this forever"I said while tightening my hold.
I missed the warmth of his body so much .
"I wished it too love" he said while laying a kiss on the of my head.
"But I don't understand , you look so much better" I said while breaking my hold .
He actually did ,his black eye was clearing up , the cuts , the bruises were almost gone . The only thing is his leg , which I have been notice that he has been trying his best to not to put pressure on it .
"I know, but that's where that Ajay wants to be at all the times ,only god knows what he will do if he sees that I'm not there but here instead"
"Good night my jaan , I'll see you soon"
He said and he kissed my forehead again .
I tried my best to control the flood tears which waiting to burst out .
Limping over to the door he unlocked it and opened it,he turn his face at me and blowed me a good bye kiss .
I gave him my best smile .
I can see him turn and Then the door shut and my heart once again had that empty feelings.
My pools of tears finally breaks .
