TARA didn't die during the night. She didn't ever get a fever, either. She wasn't infected, and she immediately let me know that when we woke up this morning.

"Dwight shot me with a clean arrow," she deduced, smirking. "I'm not going to kill him anymore, Tess. He saved me the other night when he could've just killed me, got it over with. But, he didn't. That's gotta mean something. Don't you think?"

I smiled, almost crying tears of joy that she was still alive, and caressed her cheek. "He is a really good guy. I have had my doubts, but after this, no more. I... I love him, Tara."

Believing that she was going to be upset by my confession, she actually grinned and agreed, "I think that he really loves you, too."

EVERYONE was pretty much gone today, absent and separated from Hilltop. It seemed to me the only people that were left was Paul and myself, and I didn't feel like just sitting around here today, either.

I decided rather quickly that I wanted to go out today, just like Rick and Morgan had done, and I wasn't completely sure if I wanted to go alone, though. I probably wasn't trusted to go off anywhere by myself anymore.

After packing my backpack, I headed over to Paul, who was out on the picnic table by himself, and I slowly approached him. "Hey, Paul," I smiled, starting off as welcoming and warm. "I kinda don't wanna be here today, so I'm gonna head out on a supply run. I'll be back soon."

"Wait... Tess, wait-"

I spun around on my heels after walking away from him to skip the lecture. He had stood up with his arm out and said, "Hey, I'll go with you. Just hold on and let me go grab my stuff."

Even though he couldn't see it after he had walked away, but I had a huge grin spread across my face. The way that he immediately stepped-up and would chase after me. Brie told me about how Paul reacted after I was gone. I love my twin brother more than anything else in this world.

It only took him half of a minute to grab his stuff as we were allowed to leave through the front gates and out to where we wanted to go. It didn't take long until we were in the woods, falling over ourselves, and trying to use our matching machetes to get through the high vines coming off the trees.

I heard a Walker and, before I could mentally prepare for it, it snuck out from hiding behind a tree, so I struck it through the head before it could ambush us. It was like my body was ready, but I didn't understand what I had done until it was over. Crazy.

"I can see that you like the machete, getting the hang of it," Paul smirked, now walking right beside me. "Morgan taught you well."

I slowly nodded and agreed, "Yeah, he did. He's a good teacher. But, I don't know... Maybe I just wanted to be like you, with the machete."
