{jack POV}

Katy had fallen asleep on me. The boys were teasing us, saying how we look all tumblr cute and that. She was pretty cute, and i didn't want to wake her so i let her sleep. Her soft golden brown curls tickled my neck as she moved a bit, making me twitch. I'd never really spoken to her, there wasn't a need to. Obviously she was in my grade and stuff but we only had 1 lesson together and we sat at opposite sides of the room. I smiled at her once or twice down the corridor, and i saw her at the twins' birthday party a few months before, but I never said anything apart from 'hi'. I'm quite happy that we had this chance, she seemed like such a fun character that I felt the need to know. I didn't understand how I was never intrigued before.

I didn't want to sound mean when she offered, but i didn't really want Nia's number. I was only saying, just as a subject. But Im not that type of person to be rude so i couldn't turn it down. She didn't seem that interested in me, which was kinda sad cause I was really interested in her.

I texted Nia whilst we were in the car, just a simple 'hey nia its jack' i thought was fine. Almost suddenly i got a reply back.

Nia - jack Dail?' It read.

'Yeah' i replied. I put my phone down and positioned Katy so she wouldn't fall or be uncomfortable.

'You sure look fond of her jacky' Grayson laughed and Ethan looked back at us both, awwing and making a love heart sign. I slapped his hand away.

'Shut up Ethan' i smirked. I moved the hair out of her face, she looked so beautiful. Her medium skin tone was beaming as the sun rays caught her from outside, I wanted to wake her just to see those chocolate eyes she had. Her hair was a cool curly, I looped my finger around it and let it slide off. It was so soft, and smelt of coconuts. I felt a little tired too, so lay my head on top of hers, closing my eyes.

'Do you like her' i heard one of them say.

'Yeah, I must do.' I said sleepily, before finally drifting off

'Jack, jack wake up' I heard, slowly coming into consciousness. I opened my eyes and Ethan was tapping my shoulder lightly. I turned around and I could see Grayson getting our stuff out of the trunk. I looked to the left of me and there was the beach - well Lake Michigan. It's quite big though, it's on the edge of Wisconsin too so it's like a beach.

'Were here already?' I rubbed my eyes

'Yeah- don't move your waking Katy up' He whispered. I froze and looked at her, she was beginning to move ad starting to stretch. I tapped her a little and she opened her eyes, looking up at Ethan before me. She looked down at how she was on my chest and moved suddenly towards her window.

'Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you' she blushed.

'Its alright. Were here now' I said. She looked out the window, seeing the Lake Michigan.

'Oh, how long was I asleep?' She looked at us both.

'Only an hour. Don't worry you didn't drool or snore.' Ethan laughed, making Katy laugh.

'Well good' she lay back into her seat, taking a deep breath. Grayson shut the trunk of the car and came around to my door, opening it.

'You ready?' He dropped our stuff down. We all nodded, Grayson moved out of the way so I could get out. I took my bag and passed Katy her's.

'Thanks Wack Jack' she giggled, placing the bag on her back.

'It's okay, Kit Kat' i smiled. She smiled back, pinching my cheeks.
