Chapter 39

Rey's POV:

"Will you move in with me?" Those words made her heartbeat quicken. Of course she wants to! But is he just asking because of the baby or because he genuinely wants her to...?

"Is it just because of the baby...?" His eyes widened slightly and he shook his head.

"No. I mean it's part of the reason but I want you here everyday. I want to come home to you and make dinner together, I want to wake up next to you every single morning, and I want to see you every single day."

"I'm not imposing...?"

"No! I want you here." It's always hard for her to accept things like an expensive dinner or gifts. Moving in with Ben meant she won't pay rent anymore because she's positive he won't let her pay his rent. She hates that. It's too much to ask for...

"On one condition." He nodded.

"Anything." Anything, really? We'll see.

"I pay half the rent. I can't just move in here and pay nothing. I struggle enough with the bills you pay for when we go out to dinner..." He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Rey, it's fine."

"Please..." He looked her in the eyes and finally nodded.

"Fine."

"Then yes, Ben. I'd love to move in with you."

2 days later

Rey woke up in Ben's bed without him in it. She wonders where he went... The past couple of days were spent at Ben's and NU. Since she agreed to move in with him and pay half the rent, she started packing all of her things up and told the landlord she was going to move out. Once that's dealt with she'll live with Ben. It's weird to think about... This is a such huge step in their relationship.

She smiled, remembering that today is her first night to perform the Nutcracker. But her smile turned into a small giggle when she heard Christmas music coming from the kitchen. Well that's where Ben is... Rey got out of bed and made her way to the kitchen to see Ben making something on the stove and dancing slightly to the music. So her boyfriend is a Christmas nerd... That will be fun to tease him about.

"Good morning. Love the Christmas music." He looked back at her, clearly startled, and groaned when he looked back at the stove.

"Morning... I was hoping you wouldn't wake up..." She walked up to him before resting her head against his back and wrapping her arms around him.

"Ben, you're cute."

"We can change the music."

"Nah... It's December. We need to get in the mood. I love Christmas anyways. You know what else I love?"

"What?"

"Your dancing to the music." He groaned again and started laughing.

"You saw that too?"

"Yep. You know, if I'm gonna be living here you better get used to me catching you doing things." He chuckled again and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"What?"

"Catching me doing things..." She finally got what he meant.

"Gross."

"Mhm. Well you did say yes to moving in here so..."

"Oh god... Well I'm going to go shower."

"Okay."

"Beynnnn!" She laughed at herself because of the way she screamed Ben. (A/N: You won't get this at all unless you've seen the YouTube channel SimplyNailogical lol. Watch some of her videos and you'll see why Rey called Ben, Beyn.) She was doing her hair for the performance tonight and she needed her bobby pins. Ben came into the room and furrowed his eyebrows.
