Chapter 21: Webby's P.O.V. Continued

Before I start this chapter, i just wanna say I'm sorry it took so long for me to make this chapter. I've been super busy with school, home, and other......stuff. I hope you guys understand. I don't know how often I can write chapters, but I'll try my best. Also if the chapter sucks, please don't be mad, i didn't have much time to make it. :):(

I put my phone away and look up. Wait, they aren't on the couch anymore. Where'd they go? "Louie!!! Where are you?!" I call into every room i go past. Where could he be? I check every room again, but they aren't there. Oh, maybe I can ask the guy checking the  drawers, he must be checking for dust. Which means he must be the butler!

 "Um hi, I'm Webby! Do you know where Mister Gladstone and Louie went?" I ask the butler guy. "Oh, you must be the girl she told me about . They went to a restaurant down the street." " Okay, thanks Mister Butler!" I say, and run to the elevator. 

 Hmm why'd he say she, didn't he mean he? Oh well, nothing to worry about, he probably mixed up his grammar. Or I heard wrong...Oh No! Am I going deaf? Calm down Webby! You gotta help your friend, you can worry about being deaf later! I'm on the 101 floor, so I press the lobby button. When I reach the lobby, I run to the swing doors, and go outside. 

Woah! There's so many restaurants! Which one are they in? Wait, let me text him. Waaaaaaiiiiit again, he won't answer. Guess I'll just have to check every....27 restaurant. Hmmm maybe I should check the " The restaurant for the rich" first. It's a weird name, but Gladstone's rich, so maybe he'd go there. 

Wow the menu sure look expensive,they must be in here! I walk up to the front door, but there are 2 guards there. "Hi I'm Webby, I'm looking for a man and a boy, both dressed in green." I say. " Oh really, who are they?" They ask. " Gladstone and Louie, they are my friends." "Uh-huh, we ain't gonna buy it, now scram. All the kids theses day say that, and they ain't never telling the truth!" "Please I'm not lying, I have proof." "Okay, but lets make a deal, if you don't have the proof, which is likely, then you are banned for life. But if you do, you can go in. K?" "Yes!" I agree, knowing I have his number in my contacts. I turn on my phone, put in the password, and open the app...then the screen goes blank, I tap the phone, I press the on button but it doesn't turn on. 

cough cough karma cough

" See you have no proof! Now scram, or we'll make you!" They shout. I try to persuade them, but  it doesn't work. Ugh, now what can I do? I guess I'll just have to check the next restaurant. 

I check, they aren't there. I check the one after, they aren't there.  I check the one after that one, but they aren't there. I do this a bunch more times. In total, besides "The restaurant for the Rich" I have checked 23. You know what? I have a really good feeling that the restaurant I got kicked out of is the one, so time to make a plan!
