I woke up at 1 in the afternoon. My dreams were too sweet to let go of, even if the light from the window was shining onto my eyes.
I groaned and sat up. I straightened my hair with my hands and then pulled the sheets off of me. I climbed down the ladders into the bakery.
"Morning mama, papa." I said. "Marinette? Were you sleeping the whole time up there?" Mama asked. "Maybe.." I said. They would understand if they knew I had to patrol all night.
"I made you breakfast two hours ago, and now it's in the fridge. You should come down sooner." She said. I sighed and grabbed the plate of croissants and eggs from the fridge. I ate it cold and went back upstairs just to go back into bed.
"Wake up Marinette!" Tikki said. She shook my pigtail. I opened my eyes. "What is it Tikki?" I asked. "You slept for 11 hours, and you're still tired?" She asked. "Yeah, mentally and physically." I said. Believe it or not, jumping from building to building and realizing it's time to go home is tiring, especially when your home is a few miles away.
"You still have to patrol, it's the weekend!" She said, and pulled on my pigtail once more. I finally sat up. Tikki may be powerless against me, but I still have a job to do.
"Ok, let me get ready." I said. I got dressed in my normal clothes and climbed onto my balcony. "Tikki, Spots on!" I said. I jumped away from the bakery, and soon people started to notice me. "Ladybug! Look, it's Ladybug!" They said. I waved as I swung past them. I landed on the top of a tall building.
"Hello, my lady." I heard behind me. "Hi Chaton. How is your weekend going?" I asked. "It's going better now that you're here." He said, and sat next to me.
"What about your day?" He asked me. "It's going fine. Nothing is happening today, so it's very peaceful." I said.
Suddenly, a little kid started crying. We looked up and saw his balloon flying away. "I'll be right back bugaboo." He said, and used his baton to extent into the sky, and caught the balloons string. I watched him give the balloon back to the kid and take a picture with them.
I started hearing a zapping noise behind me, but when I looked, nothing was there. I shrugged it off until I felt something prick my hand. "Ow!" I said, and lifted my hand to see nothing was there. I cautiously set my hand back down. I leaned back a little bit, but I didn't feel the ground. I fell back and as I fell, I saw a white void engulf me with a portal above me. I threw my yo- yo but I couldn't see anything to latch on to. I kept falling down until I finally fell onto solid ground. I looked around and saw nothing but forest. No white portal to be found. It must have been an Akuma, but how did I not notice it? Did Portal- Prancer get Akumatized again?
It must've been impossible to be here. I decided to De- Transform to save Tikkis energy.
"Be careful Marinette! You don't know what could be out there." Tikki said. "Don't worry Tikki, I have my guard up as much as I can have it." I said, and started walking. I eventually saw a trail. I started running towards it, but something stood in my way.
"Raticate!"
It growled. Was it speaking in another language?
"Umm, Sorry! I don't speak.. Raticate?" I said. It snapped back with long teeth, like a hamster.
It started chasing me, so I ran back into the forest and tried to circle around to the trail. Thankfully it worked, but now I'm being chased by a giant hamster down a trail. And, I can't transform because of the cooldown.
(Cooldown is like I can't transform right after I detransform, even if Tikki has enough energy)
"Somebody Help!" I yelled, hoping someone would hear me. I was running out of energy, and the hamster was catching up to me by the second.
"Keep going Marinette, there's a town up ahead!" Tikki said. A town? A town means people! But I don't think I'll make it in time to meet those people.
"Help!!" I yelled again, this time weaker and out of breath.
I was about to just give up running, but something happened as I stopped.
"Pi- kA- CHU!"
Yellow light started shining behind me, and when I turned around, I saw something standing there, next to a fainted hamster.
"Pika- pi?" It asked, them started running towards me, almost happily.
"Pika- pi!" It jumped into my lap. I was so confused. "Wait, Pikachu?" I asked it. "Pi- ka!" It said. "Pikachu, it really is you! Thank goodness there's someone here I know!" I said and hugged it.
"Pikachu! Where did you go?! Pikachu!" I heard yelling come from the forest. A boy wearing a blue and white striped shirt, a red hat, and grey shorts. We stared at each other for a few seconds before realizing who each other was.
"Wait, You're That Person From The Woods!" We said in unison.
