The grip around her waist tightened as she felt him slide closer to her. The sunlight peeking through their curtains caused her to squint her eyes as it began to break her sleep. He lingered on in the air, with his body steadying up on the other arm for support. Hovering above her face he smiled as she turned and opened her eyes to see his beaming smile. She squinted again as she squirmed in his arms to find a comfortable position. Just as she found one, he bent down to lay a kiss on her forehead that widened her grin. She returned the favor by laying a soft kiss on his cheek. He immediately turned to face the other way, so she could lay one on the other side too. Bending his forehead before her lips he let her continue to shower her love until something clicked him and he leaned in with his lips an inch away from hers. Before he could continue with his own sweet torture she got hold of him and rolled over till he was caught in her embrace. He bit his lip slightly, signaling what he wanted but she took that moment as an opportunity to swiftly get up and sit straight on the edge of the bed.

He wrapped his arms around her, tenderly holding onto her bump. "Happy Anniversary Annika", he whispered to her in his husky voice while snuggling into the crook of her neck. "Happy Anniversary Shivaay". The two stayed there for a while till her stomach rumbled and Shivaay cracked up. "Looks like the queen and princess are both hungry. My...my...I am no longer safe till you two are fed." Annika reached out for a pillow and slammed it in his face. Shivaay would usually get up and have Annika chase him. But it was different now. He wouldn't let her burn out her energy. She still stood up as a reflex action to him sliding off the bed, but he reciprocated to that by lifting her off her feet instead. Her mouth opened wide in shock as her cheeks went rosy and she curled up near his shoulder by wrapping her arms around him. He laid a kiss on her head this time and carried her out of their room. A startled Annika begged him to put her down and used the excuse that she needed to freshen up before he could try carrying her all the way to the kitchen.

Annika paced to the restroom while Shivaay made his way to the kitchen. She looked up in the mirror and embarrassingly covered up the mark on her neck with her hair. She smiled to herself thinking of last night while he whistled his way to prepare breakfast for the two.

______________

Annika crept behind him and gave him a gentle back hug while he laid out their food. Instinctively, he placed his hands around hers, brought them together and pecked on both. He could sense her blushing again and as he twirled her to meet her eyes, her flushed face confirmed it. He winked at her as he reached behind her to pull the chair, while still giving her glances that only made her sink deeper into his love.

They sat down and ate, feeding each other instead of themselves. Just them. Their peace and comfort. What a beautiful beginning to mark the start of their third year together. Annika savored upon all the foods she craved, internally wondering how he just always knew what she wanted and when. Shivaay ate in silence admiring his wife. The two had never learnt to stay quiet, especially when they were around each other. But this was their way of acknowledging how even silence was worth it as long as they were in each other's company.

______________

Annika walked in to only step on a bed of roses. The night sky and the candlelight's were just the perfect combo. Off to one side was a comfy sofa overloaded with pillows and blankets. She heard footsteps coming her way and turned just in time for him to be entering with two coffee cups. Shivaay placed them off to the side and helped Annika sit down before he slipped into the blanket with her and passed her a coffee mug. She sipped onto it and he waited for her usual reply..."a little bitter but not as much as my SSO". She giggled and so did he as he wrapped his arm around her.

"Shivaay our star", she shrieked in excitement as she pointed towards the sky. He gave her a refusal look and looked down at her bump as he touched it from the other side with the arm that was holding her. "Nope, she's here with us now". Annika smiled and the two let themselves sink into another starry night display, like they did on every wedding anniversary, of each one of the times he'd made her his, like they would continue to.

This one was well marking a second year to the first time they tied the knot. Images flashed before his eyes from that day. He repeated after himself, to himself, "I promise I will fill your life with so much of happiness that you'll forget what tears are". Annika just seemed to know what he was thinking about. She rested her hand on his one till he looked up at her. "If it wouldn't have been for that day, we would never be together Shivaay. What happened was only shattering. Reminiscing such moments will only make things worse for us". She cupped his face in her hand and he closed his eyes as he mumbled an apology, "I'm sorry for everything". "And I'm glad Shivaay that we've come so far.  You're not the only one to blame for all that happened back then. But you changed for the better and that's all I will value in the end, forever. My tadibaaaz baghadbilla". Annika smiled and managed to lighten up his mood too.
