Ruby's POV

"AND STAY OUT YOU LITTLE BITCH!" My mother screamed at me as she threw my backpack at me.

My parents always hated me. I dont know why. My brother was pretty much my only friend in and out of school and my parents loved him but he died in a accident. A wolf attacked him. He was found 3 days later.

My mom and dad just kicked me out. Our house was on the back of a forest and it was kind of away from everything. City's, other houses everything.

I was wearing black, high waisted, denim shorts. A camouflage short sleeve shirt, combat boots and a leather jacket. I had water, food, money, a blanket and some clothes in my bag. I also had matches and a hunting knife.

My brother had taught me self defence and stuff when I was around 12.

I'm not exactly the skinniest person ever but I'm not fat either. I have light brown hair that only goes down to my breasts. I always had long nails. I usually keep to myself and I'm homeless. That pretty much sums me up.

I started walking through the forest further and further away from home. It's was around midnight and I don't have anywhere to go so the woods is my only option. No friends. No family. No nothing.

I soon came to a little stream. I decided to stop there and make a fire. I dont know where the town is because my parents always kept me in the house besides going to school but they would blind fold me. I hoe story have no idea why.

I collected some sticks and put them in a neat pile. I took out my matches and lit one. I made a fire and listens to the crackles. I listened to the wind. I listened to the sounds of small animals going around in the trees or scurrying across the ground. I started to softly sing to myself.

"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia. Forget about the stupid little things." I sighed and remembered my brothers words before he left and before he was killed.

"I love you. Please be good and be brave. I love you little sis and never forget that. While I'm gone if mom and dad hurt you tell me. I will take you away. Somewhere safe and somewhere we can start new. I love you..."

"I love you too brother." I whispered to myself. That night I cried myself to sleep on my blanket.

I drew back my bow with my arrow set in it. I was aiming for a squirrel. He was climbing a tree. He stopped and I immediately let go of the bow. The arrow flew through the air and hit the squirrel right where his heart was.

"Yes! That's my fifth squirrel. Squirrels for breakfast, lunch and supper. Nice." I smirked. The sun had only just come up and I headed back to my camp.

I've been living in the forest for 2 years ever since my parents kicked me out. I've learned how to survive, and take care of myself. I've been moving a lot but I finally found a place to hold up. I found it about 2 months ago. It's a cave that next to a big beautiful waterfall. There's shelter, clean water, food because I've caught fish there and if I get lost I just need to look for the river.

I still have my 2 pairs of clothes and my blanket. I've made decorations with flowers or leafs or branches or just drawing with rocks on the walls of the caves.

I arrived at my cave and started to make a fire. I learned how to make a fire my using rocks and or sticks. I ran out of matches a long time ago.

I was cooking up my squirrels when I heard twigs snapping. I grabbed my hand-made bow and my hand-made arrows and got ready for any possible threats. I have come in close counters with bears and I've heard the howls of wolves but I've never had to battle anything bigger than myself.
